A good friend of mine lost the tips of his left index and middle fingers when he reached down to a rotating open belt primary drive. Always- always -- enclose rotating machinery. It might not be cool to enclose a primary drive but having stumps for fingers isn't cool either.
As a lifetime engineer and craftsman, the reason why I never wore my (wedding) ring on my ringer finger whilst working! Imagine being a Carpenter, and you working on a window frame with nails poking out of it. You jump out of the window, and a nail catches under your ring), and you are left dangling in the air with a shredded finger, and both of your feet off the ground! Never, ever, wear a ring on your finger whilst working on anything!! A similar disaster can occur when wearing a watch on your wrist! Leave your "ornaments", etc, at home...trust me! I hope Andre's finger fully recovers! Take care all....😉....😉...!
You're lucky you still have your finger Andres. I had similar thing happen to me years ago, except it was a large old school refrigerator we were moving, and I ended up completely losing my finger! S#@t happens though lol. ✌️🇳🇿🤟
