I have had conversations with Caucasian Americans and they don't get it. These policies have not been created because of deeply rooted racial bias in some Americans. I had a woman tell me that the diversity, equity and inclusion training by her employer caused her to consider that as a teenager, she had not suffered legal consequences for her underage possession and use of marijuana and she had encounters with the police. She said that she agreed that black teenagers should not receive legal consequences for possession of marijuana. She also mentioned that her parents live in California and are medical marijuana users. She confessed that she had written a letter to the police chief about her black neighbors selling drugs. When I asked her why, I explained that she clearly doesn't have an issue with non-governmental financial commerce of marijuana based on her personal usage nor does she have an issue with the possession and usage of marijuana but she has an issue with African Americans non-governmental financial commerce of marijuana.

Great interview Karen with Wes. He has done something incredible. I use this guy, this man's positive moves in Maryland in comparison to the governor in Louisiana. When black people don't vote you get a white supremacist as your governor who wants to put the nail in your coffin. If you don't participate in your democracy no matter how much you have a distaste for it, it can get worse. You stand by and do nothing you get taken advantage of. My relatives in Louisiana who do vote will suffer because of the black people who don't. They had a black man running for governor in Louisiana and only 31% of them went to the polls.
