Well in this song, its the climax portion of the film, in which the main protagonist aka Hrithik impersonates as the deceased boyfriend surprising the world with a concert in which he discovers the identity of the criminals that killed the real Hrithik in the movie. The child in the backroom is searching through killers within the live camera of the concert so that he can identify the killer as he coincidentally saw the killing of the real hrithik during the first half of movie. Anyway this sums up this song preening usually.

Why are you surprised that why are they looking at Hrithik like that ? Because it is part of the story. Simple answer. They are looking at Hrithik like that because they are tensed about what is going to happen next as part of some crucial moments of the story.

#### Here Is A Full Story Of Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai ####
Rohit ( Hrithik Roshan ) and his younger brother Amit are orphans, living with Lily ( Farida Jalal ) and Anthony ( Satish Shah ). Rohit wants to become a very good singer and works in a car selling shop. Saxena ( Anupam Kher ) one day buys a car for his daughter Sonia Saxena ( Ameesha Patel ). When Rohit goes to deliver the car to their house he learns that it is his birthday gift. No one knows that the owner of that car shop and Saxena are running a drug gang together. Two police officers ( Mohanish Bahl and Ashish Vidyarthi ) are also involved in this.
Sonia and her friends keep partying and Rohit keeps singing songs near her. After listening to her song, Atul (Rajesh Tandon) invites her to his party. By mistake, both Rohit and Sonia drink alcohol and fall into the lifeboat. The boat starts moving slowly and goes far away. Both of them live together in an island for some time. During this time they fall in love. After some time Saxena saves them. When Saxena comes to know about their love, he asks his friend to remove Rohit from work. Even after this, Sonia's love for Rohit does not diminish. He talks to Rohit that if he does something big then he will get him married. Regarding this, Rohit and his friends organize a concert.
When Rohit brings Amit from his school on the evening of the concert, they both see a corrupt policeman and Malik ( Dalip Tahil ) together killing the Commissioner ( Ram Mohan ). Because he already knows about drugs. After that both of them come to know about Rohit's existence. Rohit runs away from there and falls into the river through a culvert. He doesn't know how to swim. Sonia and everyone else think that he is dead.
Sonia is sent by her father to her brother in New Zealand. There Neeta ( Tanaaz Irani ) helps her to forget Rohit. She introduces him to her friend Raj Chopra (Hrithik Roshan). His face is exactly like Rohit and he is also a good singer. Sonia becomes more sad because of Raj's face. After knowing the whole story, Raj comes to India. When he comes there, a policeman tries to kill him. After this Raj feels that someone wanted to kill Rohit. From this, Raj and Sonia come to know that Rohit has been murdered.
Raj goes to Rohit's house where he learns that Amit knows about Rohit's killers. Raj thinks of setting a trap to catch those murderers. Only he and Sonia knew the truth about his secret. He announces the concert again so that the killers also come there and Amit identifies them. He also says that he will also take the names of those who were trying to kill him. Seeing Rohit alive, his murderers get scared. Sonia tells Saxena the truth that he is Raj and not Rohit. After this, Saxena tells the truth to Malik and that corrupt officer at the same time. Malik thinks that Saxena is framing them, because Rohit did not see Saxena so he will not take his name but will take both of them. For this reason he shoots Rohit. But he makes security arrangements in advance. Because of this he is saved.
After that the corrupt officer kidnaps Sonia. But Raj succeeds in saving her. Malik arrives there and is about to tell Sonia and Raj about Saxena when Saxena shoots him. Amit tells that Malik was talking to someone Sirji on phone. Raj calls Sirji from Malik's phone. At the same time Saxena's mobile starts ringing. After this Raj understands everything. Saxena confesses his crime in front of everyone.
Sonia and Raj go to New Zealand with Amit and they get engaged there.
