- Estes scale model 1:200 Saturn V (pre-assembled) launch, shot with a GoPro 7 in 720p/240 fps mode. A gust of wind just before launch tilted my homemade launchpad, so it looks like a Saturn V being launched in an earthquake!
Nice launch but I had tears in my eyes watching the "tower" sway in the wind and the "pad" tip at the last second!
Perfect, just like when I was a kid when all the fins on my rocket fell off at liftoff. The rocket spun around a million times and finally smashed into the ground. I laughed as this one barely made it off the launch pad before falling over. Hey, it's still fun.
Excellent!! I loved it!! Thanks for posting!!
Your Walter Cronkite impersonation was pretty good!
I did an Apollo 11 anniversary launch on that same day. Thats also the last rocket launch I did. But I launched the larger 1:100 scale version from estes.
Awesome launch. Remember that day long ago. And days later man stepping foot on the moon.
And the tower is cleared! (almost...)😋 but it really is a great model--thanks!🚀 (recovery go OK?)
Nice job Mr Cronkite!
Great funny Lefty Cronkite intro
Love it!!
Perfect!
You're not Walter Concrete? Jyst as exciting!
У вас башня обслуживания согнулась, хых :)
I launched a mouse in a model rocket in 72

Слабовато: один двигатель (почитайте в книге чемпиона мира по ракетомоделизму Рожкова, как делать и запускать многодвигательные модели), сильно переразмеренные стабилизаторы, никакое воспроизведение пусковой установки.
Single stage. Rocket clearly lopsided. F-
The one I had 57 years ago I think had 5 engines.......B6-4’s
You had to slow down the video because that model rocket launches very fast.
