What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and it is a term that categorises the pleasant (non-sexual) feeling of 'goosebumps' or 'chills' that some can feel when they are being triggered by an external stimuli such as whispering, personal attention or certain sounds.

I love this! the '80s was such a cool era and I am a bit sad that I wasn't alive in that decade. Your makeup, hair, and clothing are on point. And Stranger Things is one of my favorite shows. I binged the whole first season within the first week it came out because I was so addicted to it.

I was wondering if you were old enough to remember the 80s, but the look is spot on! The hair, the eyeshadow, the denim jacket with the popped collar--it looks like a real outfit from then, not a costume of what a 90s kid thinks someone would have worn. I had the same reaction to the Adventureland soundtrack. I seriously cried when Your Love by the Outfield came on. Takes me back to so many summers ago.

As a gal born in the 70s and spent most of my school years in the 80s, I loved the video effects and your hair & makeup. Your brows were definitely on point! Love synthwave too and the volume you played the Stranger Things theme song and moving your phone side to side for the binaural mics was perfect. Hope you continue to feel better :)

Film wise, i recommend the 80s vampire horror comedy Fright Night, pure 80s goodness, especially with the music. But i know you love your practical fx and its full of old school gore, makeup and puppets etc, great fun.

First of all, you look amazing and I wish we could still walk around with this 80's look. :-D Second; this was so relaxing as usual. Third; I particulary loved the visual settings here. You seem to be doing that in your last videos too, since you started this monthly favourites. It's like.. cinematic? Fourth; good tip about the spray for the make-up because with the heat, it tends to slide off indeed. I use blotting tissues, can't live without those anymore ;-)

I didn't realise you were into new wave synth kind of music. You probably already know it, but if you do like that stuff you should listen to Trevor Something. Their music really has that 80s synth vibe and the kind of foreboding that can sometimes go hand in hand with it.
Nice musictip as always, im not so much into the retro 80synth music like u, but from time to time i really like to listen to it, especially i like to hear it in the car, at evening - very nice mood.
This musicstyle has a touch of melancholic happyness, dunno how to tell...
The synthvibes in this Video reminds me of Junior Boys, they also work with retrostyles, i hear their music since 10years and saw them this year live in Hamburg, great music! the older albums too

Also check out the Fez soundtrack and Hyper Light Drifter soundtrack both made by Disasterpiece, i'm addicted to these, they are very atmospheric.

Girl after my own heart I was born in 82 but wish I had been just that bit older through the 80s to really experience it all ...but I'm for sure an 80s girl at heart....I have just binge watched stranger things because you mentioned it....really reminds me of the Stephen king era a very nostalgic show can't wait for season 2....also I love New wave music with an 80s electro sound...Just found a song on Spotify if you don't know it you shud check it out it reminds me of 80s movies like St Elmo's Fire, 16 candles and the breakfast club ...its by j.view and called into the light...loving your music recommendations as we have quite similar tastes 😀

Oh yeah, the 80s. My teen years and college. I remember Madonna (Holiday), Heart (what about love), Michael Jackson (great album Off the Wall), and countless others. Such good and creepy memories (big hair rock bands) of that time period.
Also, I think you will like the bands Atlas Genius, check out their album, When it was Now. Delphic put out a great album called Acolyte a few years back. Both great synth pop, great grooving music.

I just spotted that the music to Stranger things sounds in many ways like some of the music from Big Trouble In Little China.
All you need is a Twilight Zone..The Movie and a Gremlins movie poster and that's what my room looked like in the late 80's. You should check out the Big Trouble in Little China soundtrack. Great ambient synthetic music I think you would like. Thanks for your asmr videos👍👍😴
