Thank you for all of your suggestions. I've been selling on ebay since 1999 and can still learn some new tricks. I had to laugh when you commented that you buy things and then mark them up to sell them. I once shipped out an item and overlooked a thrift store price tag that was still on it. The buyer messaged me when she received it, "You sold this to me for more than you paid for it! I'm going to report you to ebay!" I have to wonder how people reach a certain age without acquiring certain basic information about 'how things work.'
Rusty, I have been a reseller for a few years. I sell mostly on Etsy with a women’s vintage clothing store. I’ve had a store in Santa Fe , closed and listed online. I listen to your videos for inspiration and information… no ego, just great insight and advice… many thanks!
Your personality is what helps you in your business so many resellers that I encounter in the thrift stores and estate sales are very pushy and rude you have to be focused and kind at the same time which is very hard to do I think you've mastered it
Oh God! Cousin Rusty is sharing - actually exhausting - his significant business "secrets' to us cousin viewers! May God continue to bless you with more trade profits and life's wisdom
Relationships are key to both successful commerce and ever improving quality of life. Thank you for the prompt to invite buyers to let me know what they’re looking for so I can keep an eye out. And thank you for generously sharing your knowledge. I eagerly await your What Sold videos! 💚🙏💚
hi, I recently came across your channel, you are extremely knowledgeable. thanks for sharing all so valued information for reselling. I really appreciate it.
OH my goodness...the watch faces! and I love the way you lot stuff together...8th strategy. LOL. In the end, you are a marketing genius...What you are teaching I learned in business school. your point is well taken about communicating with the shoppers and shopkeepers to build your business. Thank you for your advice.
Amazon is considerably larger than Ebay. 300 million on Amazon vs 180 million on Ebay. Now if you were speaking of 2nd hand goods then ebay would be the leader (if that's what you meant to say). Great tips on the video. Much appreciated!
Yes that’s what meant. Amazon is not set up for Resellers. They will not “Ungate” you to sell lots of things unless you are the manufacturer. They are more for companies that sell one thing or a specific genre of items only..
@@RustyTheReseller I still sell on Amazon and have for a number of years. I am making the transition to Ebay specifically for the reason that you mentioned (brands are putting their foot down and now Amazon is making ungating impossible). Thanks again as I am enjoying the videos that you keep putting out! Cheers!
Great video thanks so much for all the tips. I'm new I haven't started selling yet, a little intimidated with the shipping cost. I'm in Canada so it's different. Appreciate all your tips thank you
First video of yours I've seen. Very informative and enjoyable to boot. I am a fairly new eBay seller and never fully understood the "end and sell similar" process you described in your first tip. Very well described. I really appreciate it and am going to try it. You have a new subscriber in me. Thanks for all the info!
Thanks for things to think about. I don’t have a store and don’t plan to. However guess you could say I’m doing my own estate sale because my kids won’t want the stuff. Started with eBay in 2000 mostly to buy stuff ‘cause it was easier, cheaper than driving all over the place searching. It was a much simpler time on eBay. Now with all the fields to fill out, offering AI descriptions (I’m a writer and write good descriptions) I feel like they are treating me like I’m stupid. Pay to promote things they want me to start at $0.99 bid???😵💫. I sold my mother’s estate items in late 2005, we had lived in Canada a few years and everything went back to Canada and good prices, s with all other stuff. Happy hunting to you.
💥Rusty, once again, your tips made me money. 🎉 I paused your video to jump on this first tip. I did the end listing/sell similar en masse and got a sale on something that had been in my shop for two months. I do this strategy but not every day or even weekly, usually when listing gets close to ending. Totally made sense and this will be one of my tasks to do multiple times a week. OK I’m ready to watch the rest of your video again thank you.
@@dtruetheeness I used to sell only “women’s vintage clothing “ on Etsy. After listening to Rusty’s videos, I now have an EBay store.. I believe you should list what is popular and you have an interest in.
Rusty, I’ve heard that you need to make changes when you relist. Can you share your thoughts on that? Do you need to adjust photos, descriptions, etc.? Or can you just delist and relist?
I actually followed Rusty’s advice on deleting and reposting. I made a change on “lowest price “ . I reposted it, and sold the item. I would never have known this.
I did EBay years ago and I can tell you that it's because you have a atore is why they are pushing up fees Try just having regular listing might make difference in fees

Love your content cousin. Encourages me when I feel down about reselling.
You can do it! Don't get too discouraged. We have gone through our share of tough situations and mistakes, but that's how you get smarter.
Hry Rusty. I was told I could not sell Corningware because it was not allowed on Ebay. Has that changed?
Thank you for that tip
No problem!

I'm not sure I want to list on eBay.

If you think, making changes will help it, sell, then go for it but it’s not required.

Spain🇪🇸
Is it true that sellers can list any amount every month. Or is there a certain limit or cap amount?
Check into it… I opened a store, and I receive “ many free listings a month. “
There are options, so research it before making a decision.
What happened to the what sold channel?
Many new episodes coming soon!
Yeah rusty!
