    The viking press needs to be fixed. The problem with it is that it's very uncomfortable to perform. You almost have to bend over backwards to perform the reps.

    Pro tip for the organizers - It's depressing when you have 4 competitors going for reps and they get a combined 1. 4:20
    The organizers really really screwed up by having the weights too heavy. You could have at least asked the competitors for feedback. The weights in this event were so poorly chosen to make me suspicious that it was done so maliciously to embarrass the women. Anytime I see a rep event and the weight is so heavy that some of the competitors can't lift it, I think they should have gone lighter. It's more exciting to see success than failure. Setting appropriate weights for Strongman events should be approached like an artform.

    • @rp1894
      @rp1894 4 місяці тому

      And what's really worse is that is seems (the producer?) encouraged the women to keep trying after they fail the first lift. That 60 second round at 4:00 had 1 successful lift and 24 failures. Don't create stuff like this. Every failure was worse than the previous one, as they always are. No strength athlete does better the second try after a failure. You're just tiring out the athletes for the next round, which at this point I strongly suspect was your goal in order to embarrass them more as the event drudges on.

    • @DarkSim64
      @DarkSim64 2 місяці тому

      Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Most women couldn't life anything because everything was too heavy.
      At the same time, I think that since women strength sports are more of a niche, the pool of competitors is a lot smaller, so getting qualified to participate in World Strongest Woman has to be "easier" than it is for men. This would result in much larger discrepancies between strength levels between athletes. I may be wrong though. That's why on the Viking Press you'll see someone doing 13 reps, while most others can't even get one.

    It also bothers me that on the sandbag lift, the first thing literally everyone does is blunder by spending energy to push it over and lower the bag's center of mass so that they have further to lift it up. Optimal strategy is to grasp it where it is. It's already symmetrical, there's no need to rotate it to begin with. They're all just copying the first idiot they saw with no improvements. That's not very competitive. Real competitors innovate the fastest.

      Why is it always women vs men mentality? Women who are trying so hard to prove themselves that they are better than men are not strong women. They are weak insecure women. A strong woman is a well adjusted person who is not trying to be a man. Male feminists like you are even worse than female feminists.

  • @Mx_Sneezy

    If anyone’s wondering who’s really ruining the “integrity of women’s sports”, look no further than the creeps in this comment section. It’s become impossible to even broach sports in any capacity without a flock of manlets throwing hissy fits about the existence of trans people despite the fact that they don’t actually give a shit about women’s sports.
    The criteria for entering these competitions as a trans woman required you to have testosterone levels lower than that of the average cis woman, so it would be completely fair for them to compete. Of course, the commenters here wouldn’t know that since reactionaries are incapable of research and critical thinking. All they’re here to do is cry about the existence of trans people and make these spaces uninhabitable by people who aren’t as terminally online as they are.

Do you see many women competing in Men's sports? No, Men compete in women's sports to cheat. You blame people in the comments? You call people having their say hissy fits?

      I'm a female strength athlete. Trans identifying men are most certainly on their way to ruining women's sport.

    • @jhssuthrnmama
      @jhssuthrnmama 9 місяців тому +1

      And I've never seen a single rule set that required trans identifying men to have lower testosterone levels than biological women. I've seen many people miscalculate and misunderstand, thinking that was the case, though.
      Worse, many sport regulation bodies haven't made any rules at all yet.
