Here's a clarification that we didn't address during the interview. Michael's mom died a few hours after he left for California. He believes that she died because the demons were trying to get to him, but once he left they had no more reason to use her. If you want more details about his story the links to his books are in the description.

I’m sorry you and your sister had to go through all that. God and Time are great healers. I’m not saying it’s easy by any means. No! But your testimony can help and heal so many who have scares and ( physical or spiritually) it is not easy. I’ve had my own battles of childhood with my mother and it wasn’t easy. She had her own demonic influence and it hurt both my brother and I very much in life. Not to your extent but different. Still I’ve had to forgive and let go, luckily she had a priest pray over her and gave her last rites ( she was dying) and she thought I was a demon) and When the priest was there it’s almost like the demonic stuff left her and I had 6 normal weeks with her actually very peaceful) after 6 weeks that she died. But I can relate a little with the negativity and the hatred.

The interviewer was steering his story to the religious aspect he wants to portray by using his story. This is really just a story of child abuse & neglect caused by a mother’s untreated mental illness. Mental illness can surely seem “demonic” or “scary” to those who have never experienced or studied it.

I used to steal other children’s lunches at school. I used to get sandwiches from neighbors. I always went to my neighbors house on my way to school to walk with her daughter to school because they would give me something to eat. My mother was mentally ill and not in my life at all. My father and stepmother severely abused me. Emotionally, physically, sexually. Yes I tried to be the best I could be to try to gain my parents approval. My teachers knew, my principal knew. They saw the black and blue marks. They never did anything. I finally left home when I was 14. I never went back.

As a psychiatrist and a believer in Jesus Christ, this absolutely breaks my heart!
Remember folks, people can get psychosis and be dettached from reality because of a real illness. But the differential diagnosis of psychosis and demonic possession should be clear when the affected individual speaks multiple languages previously unknown, different voices and not just fluctuations of own voice, super human strenght, other supernatural displays of power like levitating or such. Also a psychotic individual doesn’t suddenly go to normal when confronted with an outside person (here the police or medical personnel), they simply are unable to.
It enrages me that the mental institution didn’t call a proper exorcist and allowed her to go back home after attempted murder of one of her kids! The social services should have taken care of those children. The father’s behaviour also baffles me, though explainable partially by his own trauma. My heart goes to this man and his sister, may the Lord heal their minds and heart. PTSD is really hard to overcome but everything is possible through Jesus Christ. God Bless!

    @Nurse-Addison Місяць тому +36

I’m a registered nurse, and while I’m only 42 and didn’t live through the earlier decades like Michael, I can confirm that undiagnosable behaviors were indeed treated this way. In nursing school, I even wrote a paper comparing treatments from the 60s, 70s, and 80s with today’s methods-some of them are wild but some of the mental health treatments where aborhently inhumane.
I had a chilling experience here in Canada with my sister, who was struggling with self-harm. After seven years as a nurse, I thought I knew what to expect. When she locked herself in a room with a knife, I called 911, knowing both police and EMTs would come-and they did. She was in obvious mental distress, so I expected she’d be taken to a mental health facility for a few days of observation. But less than 24 hours later, she was back home.
I was shocked to learn that even after attempting to take your own life, if you can convince a psychiatric doctor you’re fine, they’ll let you out.
While it’s not the same as Michael’s mother’s situation, it shows how weak the mental health system can be, letting patients convince doctors they don’t belong there. I wouldn’t have been surprised if a demon had made her seem perfectly fine, as though the treatments were no longer needed. Those familiar with the occult know that exorcists always send patients for a psychiatric evaluation before considering demonic possession. I almost went down that path myself after my mother passed in March-I was going to get a Ouija board until a powerful voice echoed in my sleep, commanding, "NO!"

A friend of mine set up an exorcism by a Catholic priest, and it stopped, and i converted, and years later i finally feel safe although i dont know if I'll ever fully recover from the trauma of my experience. Instead of simply praying... Reach out and form real world bonds with those people... create friendships with them... include them in your activities and friend groups and truly listen to them without judgment of any kind.
This will make a world of difference for people struggling and isolated.
Another thing to keep in mind... generally it is a bad idea to "spread the gospel" to people who are struggling with mental health disorders, especially those who struggle with delusions, addictions, derealization, dissociation and psychosis. This can make their condition much worse and lead them into extremism... so keep the biblical talk to a minimum..

As far as “spreading the gospel” goes, only a false gospel will lead a person into “extremism,” depending on what you mean by that. Jesus is the only one with the power to heal deep emotional scars, heavy trauma, and mental illness. Humans can treat some of these on a surface level, but only God, through the power of what Christ accomplished on the cross, can make all things new. He can renew the mind, revive the heart, break through the walls we've erected, give hope to the hopeless, and help to the helpless.

It's jaw dropping about the things that took place - and everyone turned their backs. To make matters worse, my brother was psychotic from brain damage at birth. When they took him to the asylum, I would so incredibly relieved because he was vicious (he used to chase me with a butcher knife). But, before too long, he would be back in the home being violent. I can say, from someone who also had a dysfunctional parent, as a child, you don't know what to do. Its not that it's normal, but it's normal to you, and you just know that you're unhappy and scared, etc. In my case, I loved my dad so much that I didn't want to tell anyone out of fear of being taken away from him. One day, they will need help in figuring out what to do or they will need an extra bit of advice when they are not so near someone who has their best interest at heart as YOU certainly do because you love them and know better than ANYONE whats so vital and very much needed ( since you were forced to with no caring or loving advice)who would know better valuable advice for becoming a successful, secure, happy and well adjusted young adult ?
They may act like they do not want to hear, and you are too ridiculous, but its going into their brains! I promise! So keep on giving them every little nugget you've got for them! I didn't even care when they made jokes about it!
Because I was going to make sure they knew everything they needed in this life!
One day your children will SO lovingly appreciate all youve said to them, youll see!One day whenever something arises, their minds will automatically go back into recall, upon a profound truth ,something VIP THAT you took the time to explain and have said to teach them!
I know you think they grow weary of listening ,and they may .....so lighten up the mood and smile tell them you know they may get sick of listening but let them know its only because of your endless and forever love for them- that forces you go to against their desires to not hear what you are teaching and preaching - your LOVE FOR THEM COMPELLS you to make sure they've gotten everything embedded into their minds, things you KNOW will only help them and prepare them for the time coming and you are no longer around and in charge of their protection and care!
I know this is a good thing what you are doing!
Maybe its borderline obsessive at times lol but who can complain of too much love?
I promise one day theyll appreciate so much!! I know from experience all of my preaching teaching and protesting with my children,I had never ending dialogue going ( my youngest when in her teens actually stuck her fingers in her ears once and sang "LalalaLala! I know Momma! " She wasn't being disrespectful,i know sometimes I can be a bit much,so I let off for that afternoon, and said okay and laughed because it was overload a tiny bit so i gave her a break but I promise my children are well adjusted and loved by all now that they are grown adults now....people that they come in contact with sing their praises- they are good trustworthy people ( thank God )and they Thank me graciously all the time for giving EVERYTHING i had into being their Mother and making sure they would be certain of the right way to go! ❤😊

When I was a baby, in 1983, my father was at the beginning of writing a book that took him 16 years to finish. He had to translate the Greek, Hebrew bibles & other holy books from different cultures. He was also dabbling in the Occult & reading Crowley's stuff and doing rituals that would last days. From what I was told, my father ousted my mother from their bedroom and ripped up the carpet. There were floorboards underneath, and he painted an upside down pentagram on the floor in some type of animal blood, painted the walls pitch black. He had animal skulls, black candles & all kinds of satanic bits. After he made his room into a temple, my mother swears blind that the temperature in the room was freezing. She could see her breath, even in the height of summer. He kept the door locked whenever he was in there, doing his rituals or writing, translating & my mother had to leave his meals outside the door. She was well versed in the knowledge that he wasn't to be disturbe, at all. I have no memory of any of this, as I was only months old. But, from all the terrifying stuff I've heard, it does sound like my father was under demonic influence during the research for his book, and dabbling in the Occult and attempting the Abramalon rituals. As a child, my father suffered from severe depression or bipolar disorder because he was either in an acute fit of demented rage, which was scary AF, or he was catatonic and in his bed for 2 or 3 days, totally unapproachable. He self medicated with cannabis a lot, maybe a couple glasses red wine, too, which seemed to calm him down and made him lucid enough to have a conversation with. He'd even make us all laugh at times. My childhood wasn't anywhere near as horrific as Michael's, but I still have a lot of scary memories of my childhood that I have yet to put to rest. I identify with many of Michael's descriptions of how he was left to his own devices. As children, my siblings & I weren't taught about personal hygiene, and there was a lot of emotional instability in the home. I know the horror of being a child & watching my mother have a total nervous breakdown, hitting herself & pulling at her hair, babbling to herself. So yeah, I definitely can relate to that, too. Michael's story had me riveted to the spot, so terrifying but identifiable, too. God bless Michael, his family and anyone who took the time to read this comment. 🙏❤️

There are so many parallels to my own mother! However it felt like she could turn her personalities off and on, she was always so evil and violent behind closed doors and would put on a show in front of others. Mind you, I grew up in a Christian household, my mom was a “Christian” but we experienced so many supernatural things you can’t describe as normal. My mom was extremely abusive, especially when my dad wasn’t home and I thought my mom was going to kill me multiple times when I was a child enduring her physical abuse. I got CHILLS when he talked about his mom’s eyes looking all black even though her eyes were hazel. I would see my mom’s eyes all black, COMPLETELY dark when she would start to attack. One time she was wailing on me so badly, it wasn’t stopping and I thought I was going to die. She knocked the wind out of me and kept going. I was trying to call out to Jesus, once I caught my breath back I yelled “Jesus!!” And she stopped hitting me and started screaming at me and verbally abusing me. This confirms my thoughts that something else would enter her or come to the surface when she was violent. Demons quake at the sound of Jesus’ name!!

I’m also from Canada (Ontario) and I can confirm that our older elementary schools had coat closets at the back, where we would store our winter jackets and backpacks.
Wet shoes/boots (“outdoor shoes”) were lined up in the hallway, just outside of the classroom door, and we were required to wear “indoor shoes.”
However, if a kid ever came to class without a lunch, the teacher would ask the class if anyone would share a part of their lunch. So, they might get the halves of an apple, granola bar, sanwhiches, etc. I don’t remember anyone going hungry but I do remember that this happened often with some kids in particular.

Michael, thank you so much for telling your story, this has been my life with my 68 year old brother. He has a legion also. His dog mauled my 85 year old mother to death, very brutal, I tried to save her but it was too late. A year later he burned her house down on our family ranh, where he still wanders in torment. The sheriff's refuse to deal with him anymore. He manifested many symptoms in his early 20's. He's 68 now, has run us off the property. Of course this is just the short version, but I carry the trauma as I tried to get him help through the years and of course felt I had to protect my mother, who enabled him his whole adult life. The trauma of trying to save her from his dog just a few years ago. I'm a Christian.

They chalked it up to mental illness but in her moments of clarity, she was able to say what was happening to her, and no one helped her with a priest or any religious person that could've done something for her. I pray that she is at peace.

Wow! This shows me how close I could have been to the same outcome! I too desperately asked a loved one who passed to contact me. It wasn’t in a saonce or with a ouji board, it was just verbal but so sincere and desperate when I was crying one night and missing my lifetime best friend who died in a car accident when she was 25. I took her death super hard and was crying and drinking and watching medium shows nonstop. When I made that verbal request, within an hour my very heavy lamp was grinding across my end table and now my bf(now husband) was home and he witnessed it too and was freaked out but I was happy and told him I asked for a sign from Kim, so I know she is watching over me. He wasn’t pleased. The months that followed were very scary and I quickly realized it was not my dead friend who was showing all these signs so boldly. I started to hear voices like a whispering convo beside my bed while I was asleep and it would wake me up, hear my name screamed super loud in my ear and I would jump awake, terrified, things were moving in our home in front of our eyes like the chandelier swaying, the coffee pot cord was unplugged and weaving in the air snakelike one day and we both seen it. Even company was freaked or by tv and lights going on and off. I had stayed in that home since childhood and it was always warm and welcoming and now I was scared to be there and always felt like I was being watched. My dog would grow and lean against me with her hair raised but nothing was in front of us. I was hearing footsteps down the hall daily and think my husband was home from work early but realized he wasn’t after he would not answer me when I talked to him. I started to have dreams where two people would tell me I’m special and they felt untrustworthy, like good cop and bad cop, one would say you are special and the other would say “she isn’t ready” but I realized I was being manipulated. Than came the sleep paralysis with a dark entity over me, it was demonic and I was terrified. I had never heard of such a thing over 15 yrs ago and I thought o was crazy or it was demons after me and I was hoping I was crazy. My husband had to hold me tight to go to sleep because I dreaded sleep since the attacks increased to the point the sleep paralysis happened multiple times every night. Although he witnessed many things, it seemed like whatever it was, was after me. What I see that is similar to his mother and I, is that we were relieving and desperate to hear from the loved one. I know mediums try to talk to the dead but maybe when you are more desperate, the agreement with evil is more. The difference with his mom and myself was that I always believed in God although I was wasn’t aware of why Jesus sacrifice was so important and I had doubts but I prayed daily during these spiritual attacks, I was witnessing evil so I knew there had to be opposite and God had to be real and although o was going deeper down a new age path, I also was praying for God to help me and rid me of this evil torment. After about a year, I started to hve out of body experiences where I would wake up and realize I was out of body, something told me this was not a good thing even though nothing scary happened while having these out of body experiences but I knew it had to be the evil entity making me come out of body since it was what followed all the other horrific experiences and I wasn’t doing it intentionally. I started to quickly try and get back into my body everytime it happened and sometimes it was hard. Looking back now I wonder if I was or for too long if I would have died and I wasn’t truly born again at that time so maybe that was the goal of the demon or if possibly the demon could get into the body when a person is out. I started to pray nightly and even to this day I pray nightly that I don’t have any sleep paralysis or astral projection or false awakings or nightmares. So very much more happened but way too much to write. Even my mother and little brother seen this same faceless shadow man one night when they spent the night and they were wide awake and they didn’t know anything I was going through at that time but when they described it I got physically sick because I couldn’t make any excuses anymore. Calling out to Jesus was what made the entity flee immediately one night, I didn’t even hve total faith but something told me to call out to Jesus and I said Jesus help and the entity fled. That is what made me start researching more on Jesus and gaining faith because I seen the power of Jesus with my own eyes, over this demon. It continued to come and I calle don Jesus everytime and it fled everytime, my home burned somdown and both my cats passed away just like my premonition nightmares showed me would happen(I believe those nightmares were form the devil and not God) we moved and I grew closer to God and truly born again and it’s been many many years since I have had to deal with anything like that. I’m now 40 praise Jesus. I wish his mother would have called on Jesus who would have broke any toes she made with evil and closed any doorways with the demonic. When I finally read the Bible I seen where we are warned not to talk to the dead. It was already quite obvious that me trying to speak to the dead was what caused all my problems because it started right after and escalated quickly but God gave me more understanding through scripture

I got possessed by a dmt demon, and during the time they are in the body's driver seat the person's consciousness is pushed aside and will not register anything while the demon is in cotrol. I lost awareness, for about 4 hrs. And my husband ignoring what was really happening, got a lot of verbal abuse, when the possession was ending I heard my voice speaking, but couldn't figure out what was said, I asked my husband "what did I just say?" He answered "you said that you dont want to see me or hear you for the rest of my life (with profanity). I gasped and said ." I would never say that . that wasn't meee". that's when I realized I was overtaken. I'm ok now, will never go near DMT. not even clean hemp.

I never did dmt but other drugs and I hve had demonic encounters while awake and since becoming born again I hve had real encounters with the Lord and dmt or any drugs, that may seem cool and give good effects are just a trap to open people up more and more until it’s too late. People keep coming back when they hve good trips but those entities are just deceiving because the devil is a liar and can appear as an angel of light

What's crazy is there's millions of people who have done it and when they started sharing their experiences people realized everyone sees the same entities. Not everyone sees them but those that do receive an honest look at themselves. I think these hallucinations are real and it brings you to the spirit realm so it makes sense that something bad could visit you as well. Another tidbit of info, when we die our brain releases dmt.
