Ive noticed that he's never more happy telling stories then when he's talking about his time with the Feds. Maybe it was a relief. For the first time in his life not having to put on a tough facade all the time and not having to worry about something coming back to haunt him. That make the memories of that time so positive to reminisce about it.

Sammy has the best stories and his memory is amazing. That’s exactly how my grandfather was, he could remember every little detail when he told his stories. There’s certain people who can tell a story and get us the listener to be engaged in the story from start to finish. Sammy is definitely one of those people

I lived through a few too many of these and have heard names of people my parents mentioned quite often when I was a kid. My mother dated Anthony Mirra and there I was, age ten, asking him in the driveway to my building what he did for a living and how he knew my mother. He couldn't have been more polite, saying they were friends and he was a businessman. I was like "okay" and left. I never knew who "Tom and Roy DiMAYO" were until I found these channels.
