I remember Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 had a modification with those cars, long befor Disney started the development. I never imagined, seeing this in real life, but here we are.
This concept was actually brought to life much earlier by Mack. They called it the E-Motion coaster and the only one ever built is Tulireki at Linnanmäki in Helsinki, Finland, wich opened in 2004 . It’s a weird ride! This is probably what inspired Chris Sawyer for the rocking cars in RCT.
@@Sauci55on Just search for "Swinging Mine Ride RCT3" (the 3D Rollercoaster Tycoon, not the older ones) Im talking about the CTR Modification, created by DasMatze, which added nearly the same model ingame for RCT3 as a custom coaster car for the wild mouse track from around 2010.
The last time I was at Disney World, this was running but I did not ride it, because I wasn't going to wait in this long line or spend a FastPass on a tame family coaster unless my family was actually riding with me... and my daughter didn't want to ride it. The possibility of freaky animatronics and the swinging motion dissuaded her, even though she was willing to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
I rode this during me and my family's trip to Disney World last year. That was the first ride on our visit to the Magic Kingdom. Fun ride but Space Mountain is (and always will be) my absolute favorite at the Magic Kingdom!
i’ve had success more than once getting in line right as the ride comes back from extended weather downtimes. i’ll never wait more than 30 minutes for this on purpose.
I forgot about the swaying cars before riding, and on both my rides, I didn't notice any swaying. I guess you have to know (or remember) about it to notice it. I had great luck getting on it in 10 minutes with early entry rope drop during a low demand September week. I started 3 days at MK, and did 7 Dwarfs on 2 of the rope drops. Peter Pan was my other choice. All 3 of those days were days where MK closed at 6pm for the Halloween event, so the shorter hours led to much smaller crowds & shorter lines by their standards. Space Mountain & Big Thunder seemed to always be 5-15 minutes. But 7 Dwarfs & Peter Pan still had around an hour wait all day.
Imagine having enough money to travel, not just he country, but the world, riding all those different coasters and accumulating all those coaster credits.
Idk what Disney’s thing is with all the somewhat mountain themed coasters… I mean, when you think about it, there’s BTMR, Expedition Everest, Space Mountain(you could say it doesn’t work with this one but there’s mountain in the name so it counts), the old Matterhorn bobsleds, and now this. Kinda weird and repetitive ngl
you pretty much nailed it. rope drop doesn't work particularly well, it's a good ride but not worth the wait. at least it's better than slinky dog, but space mountain and BTMR are a lot better (haven't been on tron yet)
This is a good ride. I still prefer Snow Whites Scary Adventure but this is still good. That said, no it is not worth the wait. Unless you can get a Lightning lane upcharge or rope drop the ride with early entry, this is not worth it. I also think it's absurd that the interactive parts of the queue line are all up near the front. They should put more entertaining features for the people further back in the line who have a longer wait.
in my opinion I think this ride is a perfect replacement for the now defunct Snow White's scary adventures, my only criticism I have is that I wish the ride had a longer duration. overall it's a perfect family attraction with well executed theming.
I took my (at the time) 9 and 10 year old on it and they were mad. "that's it? That wasnt worth the wait". If it was as long as Thunder Mountain it would be a winner, but as is it is a waste of time.
This is what I actually skipped on my most recent visit to Magic Kingdom. I was able to go on everything notable besides this Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and jungle Cruise.
Calling it a coaster.... I dont think that justify everything. I think you need to see it as a dark ride axperience with a coaster section. Than it is awesome i think
I don’t know how you don’t have 100k yet. You post prolifically and the quality is top notch. Thanks for all the great content!
Thanks for the kind words!
i really love your videos. thank you!
You're welcome.

Cool!
I think it looks like alot of fun. Very creative theming. Good kids ride.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good for all ages.
My last ride we were able to get the car swinging CRAZY it was so much fun lol. The poor strangers behind us
Awesome!
great review. i liike this solid Vekoma mine train.
Thanks!

Unfortunately lines are still an issue with this ride a decade after it opened.
I Don't Have This Credit Because Of The Line
Yeah, it gets bad waits unfortunately.
I rode this during me and my family's trip to Disney World last year. That was the first ride on our visit to the Magic Kingdom. Fun ride but Space Mountain is (and always will be) my absolute favorite at the Magic Kingdom!
Space Mountain is my favorite coaster there as well.
3rd option to ride is to ride it during an after hours event, like MVMCP. I was able to ride it twice, both with less than 20min waits
That is a great option as well.
It is a cute coaster. I paid to get on it but once is enough. I agree that I prefer Tron, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain.
I prefer those two as well.
i’ve had success more than once getting in line right as the ride comes back from extended weather downtimes. i’ll never wait more than 30 minutes for this on purpose.
That's a good tip!

Nice, the party days definitely help keep crowds down.
Do you think this ride differentiates its self enough from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad?
I think it does.
Imagine having enough money to travel, not just he country, but the world, riding all those different coasters and accumulating all those coaster credits.
Or in Canobie Coaster's case, the right job.
I travel for fun and work.

I don't mind since they all look good.

I prefer Slinky to be honest. I do prefer Big Thunder and Space as well.
@@CanobieCoaster for me slinky is a huge dud haha oh well to each their own.
I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of hoping this ride got a 7 out of 10 (for obvious reasons), but you keep it real lol.
That would have been fitting.

New Ride Coming to USA is Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs At Frozen Land
I'd welcome one of those.

Yeah the coaster bits are definitely short. The dark ride section helps at least.
This is what I actually skipped on my most recent visit to Magic Kingdom. I was able to go on everything notable besides this Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and jungle Cruise.
It's worth trying, but it is a step below their other major coasters.
Only real ones know this is a new thumbnail
Lol
I rode this the year after it opened, I remember waiting about 3 hours and being super disappointed as I was expecting way more.
The ride is solid, but the waits are miserable.

I agree it does a bit of both.
