- Diana Taurasi. GOAT. 3x WNBA Champion. 2x WNBA Finals MVP. 2009 WNBA MVP. The WNBA’s ALL-TIME LEADING SCORER.
9x WNBA All-Star. 10x All-WNBA First Team. 3x All-WNBA Second Team. In 2011, named one of the WNBA’s Top 15 Player of All Time. In 2016, named one of the WNBA’s Top 20 @ 20. 2004 WNBA Rookie of the Year. 5x WNBA scoring champion (would’ve been 6 in 6 years were it not for the also legendary Lauren Jackson (and Seimone Augustus) in 2007). Finished 2013 with the most assists (tied with Lindsey Whalen). 2014’s WNBA assist leader (tied with Courtney Vandersloot for assists per game). 4x Olympic Gold medalist (2004 Athens, 2008 Beijing, 2012 London, 2016 Rio). 3x FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Gold medalist (2010 Czech Republic, 2014 Turkey, 2018 Spain).
4x USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year. 6x Euroleague champion. 7x Russian National League champion. 3x Russian Cup winner. 3x Russian League Player of the Year (Спасиб). 2011 Turkish National League champion. 2012 Turkish Cup winner.
3x NCAA champion. Back to back NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player. One is one of only 9 player who have won the Honda Sports Award for basketball multiple times. She is also currently FOURTH on the WNBA All-Time career assist list.
There’s a reason Taurasi approached the late great Kobe Bryant and claimed she was the “White Mamba” and he agreed. Famously, Kobe replied “yes, you are - you’ve got every bit the temperament.” The White Mamba has worked and continues to work on every part of her game, approaching it with a level that not many, not even professional athletes, attack it with. Her hunger to get better was furthered along by Bryant: “he made it possible to play with an edge that was borderline crazy.” She has won everything there is to win, and it’s not hard to see that she still wants so much more.
Diana’s a visionary. Her vision is scary. She could ruin the league with just her passing. So let’s just revel and bask in the fact that she’s out there to bust everyone’s ass. This video is meant to highlight her passing. It’s VERY FAR from comprehensive, but I tried to highlight how often she’ll look a player off before dropping an inch perfect pass right in stride. It truly is art.
PS. The last play, it’s there for a reason.
PPS.
Can we talk for a second about 2009 Taurasi? Scoring title, regular season MVP, WNBA championship, Finals MVP. She is only one of two players to ever to that, the other being Cynthia Cooper-Dyke, but if you add her overseas career to that, DT3 won FOUR consecutive Euroleague championships from 2007 - 2010, and was named Final Four MVP in 2009 and 2010.
Props to you if you read the first line of the PPS in Zach Lowe’s voice. Extra props to you if you are familiar with “Спасиб” and the story Sue Bird told on Zach’s podcast.

It's cool you're doing wnba highlights
Really dumb how some boys get offended with these WNBA ballers crushing it. They have incredible fundamentals, and Taurasi is a living legend. Thanks for this quality upload as always.
They really don't have great fundamentals, the great players do but not the average player.
That's why they play overseas.
Women's basketball is appreciated over there 100x's more than here because American basketball has this fetish for uber-athletic dominant players. Jumping high and running fast is their only way they like to measure skill level.
Top WNBA thrives on fundamentals and IQ. You know who else does? The Euro-league style players like:
Luka Doncic
Manu Ginobili
Arvydas Sabonis
Dirk Nowitzki
Ricki Rubio
Toni Kukoc
Drazen Petrovic
etc etc.
@@Vipa567 dude you can't make it in the pros without fundamentals, whether men or women. The Great ones are the ones who can supersede the fundamentals and find new ways to impact a game.
@@ShubhamSingh-or3zu ik im 11 mouths late but this is true
Yessssssssss was waiting for this one. Straight baller here.
You got the best mixes!
This created an itch in me for Luka's passing compilation, how about it
...I can't believe you'd even ask that. I was so high on Luka before he even got drafted. The answer is most definitely, but I did want to wait until after the season.
Here's a video of some of what Luka did at Real Madrid that caught my attention paired with some of the stuff that looks similar that he's done in the league: ua-cam.com/video/REIADb4lk6g/v-deo.html
Evin Gualberto are you gonna do anymore Paul George stuff?
@@elias_kx Probably after the season
@@EvinGualberto I've enjoyed your compilations, it's gold for the basketbal lover. May I ask for a passing compilation of Boris Diaw, when the Spurs went for their championship run, he was a big x-factor nobody seemed to mention, maybe you could shed some light on his impressive performance. Even if you don't, thanks for all the effort you put in your videos. Much love from The Netherlands
Wao
Anymore18/19 vids comin
Not right away, but the pandemic did make me look back into the unfinished projects on my hard drive so I'm definitely going to return to those projects when I get the chance
Best player in the WNBA and she wouldn’t make my D3 club team🤷🏻♂️
Except Kobe even said she was a player who could hold her own in the NBA...so maybe I'll take the word of one of the all-time greats over anything you have to say.
bleacherreport.com/articles/2872628-kobe-bryant-says-diana-taurasi-maya-moore-elena-delle-donne-could-play-in-nba
bro for sure she's better than everyone on ur little league team
I know it’s fun to hate the WNBA but if she played for your team she’d have her name in the rafters
@@joshcorbett4787 in college ball? You gotta be high if you think that's possible. Just look how slow the game is, she wouldn't be able to compete physically, she'd struggle against high schoolers.
