English Teacher “Nearly Daffodils” at Bowery Ballroom on 10th June 2024 (Live)

English Teacher made the long trip to Manhattan from their hometown of Leeds to wow the mostly younger crowd with their peculiar Indie-forward songs and a nice line in banter from vocalist Lily Fontaine (the one with the amazing hair). Meanwhile guitarist Lewis Whiting, drummer Douglas Frost, and bassist Nicholas Eden delivered the rest of the musical goods. I scored a T-shirt from opening band, Slow Fiction, and Mrs Geezer invested in a delightful "Nearly Daffodils" T-shirt.
The median height of the average New York concertgoer continues to rise. I found myself stuck behind a delightful basketball player, so please forgive my video challenges.
