James Noellert (from Gunner Animation) posted a scene he's been working on for a while. I love the mix of 3D Blender scenery with the cell animation characters. Lots more breakdowns and character work on his IG page. So rad. vimeo.com/440368367 instagram.com/jamesnoellert/
Holy shit, that last one is exactly as you described, it brough back a vivid memory of when I was particularly ill one day as a child, and everything seemed larger and more uncomfortable
That feeling in childhood where everything fuckin expanded and got elongated, like the room walls or my hands and body and everything. man that was nauseating
Oh my god, the last animation reminded me of that fever feeling too!!! I really respect people with the ability and intuition to include such powerful emotion and feelings in art, without specifying what it is about. I love it. You should make these videos more often, I really enjoyed this 🔥
wow that last bit about how accurate Zach's animation is with the feeling of a fever is so true. That feeling of ever-expanding volumetric anxiety and the inability to arrive at an ending
omg I had that same feeling you described in that last one! When I had food poisoning as a kid it was the worst, and I've never been able to quite describe the giant shapes in my dreams that caused such anxiety, but I totally am reminded of it watching that animation. Crazy
Oh man you described that childhood feeling so well! It happened a lot when I was a kid and it made me feel so anxious too. Childhood parenthesis aside, excellent video! It's great to keep us updated with some of the best work in motion design.
I can't help but feeling massive imposter syndrome after watching this. I know I'm meant to feel inspired but all this work is just so unfathomably amazing I kinda just was left with a lack of self-worth. No-fault to the video Ben
Awesome selection! Really looking forward for this to be a monthly thing

I'm subscribed to many channels of various genres and yours is by far the best of all. Love your content, your techniques, how clear you express yourself, how you facilitate the access to the video content through the descriptions, etc! I don't know you personally but I'm sure that you're a really nice guy! You deserve all the success =) Cheers from Brazil!
Had this sensation many times too. Also usually when meditating :) It's a form of Alice in Wonderland syndrome en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Wonderland_syndrome
10:52 YES ! Exactly ! I thought I was the only one that feel that during these strange states of fever. And I never knew exactly how to describe it. Can’t say better than you just did!
I would definitely love to the see this as a monthly series! It serves such a good inspiration and gets my mind to wonder as to how certain scenes comes together. One of my faves are dinosandteacups, Oliver sin and enisaurus. (will add more later!)
Please do more highlights! As I build my own animation portfolio for grad school this is extremely helpful for Ideas of how I can communicate different feelings/effects in my projects! Thank you!
I would love to have same episode but covering interaction design or something similar(like smooth in app transitions and Ui motion design. Great episode nonetheless, learned a lot thanks.
amazing work... though it should be making my animations feel like garbage but i am pumped up to learn as much as i can to be on the stage of "Best of the Month" 😅
BIzarre that sequence in the end where you talked about the world caving in. I had sort of same thing sometimes, when i was trying to sleep it felt like items around would be suddenly super big and kept rowing. SUper weird!
Did I miss anything awesome that deserves a spot in the next episode? 😊
Ross draws nima opening is a master piece please review it

:O I thought I was the only one!
i also thought that...
Me too!!! For the first time in my life someone else described it perfectly!
For me it was a sort of dream where all proportions of the room I was in and myself were all off, just like what that animation depicted.
mee too, maybe that's what rewired our brains for art
That feeling in childhood where everything fuckin expanded and got elongated, like the room walls or my hands and body and everything. man that was nauseating
omg I thought that I was the only one having these
So relatable 😁 It was the same feeling I got from nightmares when I was little
