I have this helmet. Read this if you're consider buying this helmet: the video covered the main points. But things to take consider. 1. The helmet fits slightly intermediate oval to round oval. 2. Refer to size chart for sizing, if you are in between sizes, go to smaller. The helmet have a lot of room to spare while breaking in, I bought a medium. It fits me perfectly when i tried it on. But after a month, it felt a bit loose. 3. It comes in 2 shell sizes, xs-m and L-XL , The smaller shell sizes is comparable to other mid level helmets in term of size 4. The face shield mechanism is easy and sturdy. It won't accidentally lift up while head checking going 80mph+ 5. Wind noises is loud, compare to my exo r2000 scorpion helmet. Even while ear plugs, I can hear the wind thu'uming in my ear going 80mph+ 6. The helmet does not hug cheeks super tight like the bell qualifier helmet. 7. the LS2 Rapid Tech 2.0 graphic is amazing. The graphic is color changing like those chameleon vinyls, color changes from green, orange and purple depend on angle and lighting.
I have one of these. A very good beginner helmet - light, excellent peripheral vision, pinlock ready, removable interior. It lacks drop down shade visor, but this is a plus for me personally due to saved weight and better side vision. If Sun bothers you, an excellent solution I found on an Indian motorcycle forum is to stick a line of insulation tape on the top of a visor. If Sun gets into your eyes, you just lower your head slightly and it disappears behind the tape. Works much better for me than any shade drop down visor, since light contrast between what gets trough the visor and what gets underneath it periodically left me blinded for several seconds. Also, riding through tunnels became much more comfortable. Granted, I never used a $500+ helmet with a shade visor, maybe they function better. But for anything sub $200 a simpler solution is probably the best.
I love the quick release strap. I went to a local cycle gear shop that has a large selection and this helmet was one of the more comfortable ones I tried on and I was willing to spend 3 times as much. didnt have to :) I really like to use this helmet on colder days.

I have the LS2 rapid! And I wouldn’t change it for anything. I love the designs that’s come with them. I take a size xl and it fits brilliantly. It’s very very comfy
This helmet is still being sold today. It came free with the bike I've just bought and for a cheap helmet it really is a great, just fitted anti fog lens and it does the job. Very light helmet that's for sure.
First ls2 helmet was the stream model double visor its a good quality acquired it around year 2017 had a motor cycle crash on july 19 2018 heads first on the pavement saves my life and just got broken rigth arm now recovering from it for my come back in mc world just buy this model the gloss white one, ls2 really a good brand
So after 2.5 years with this helmet using it daily, the only issue is wind noise, with earplugs which I use anyway sorts that out, it's still tight and and the padding has held up extremely well, visor mechanism is still like the day I bought it and the visor has accumulated little to no scratches at all
I've got two. Bought them in the Philippines, for under 3k pesos (about USD$57) apiece (yeah!). They seem well-made, and are gorgeous (I got the Infinity and the Grid). Fit seems moderate oval to me - not quite a long oval. Interiors are not super-plush, but certainly acceptable - I've already pulled one out, washed (by hand, and air-dried), and re-installed with no problems. My only gripe is the scarcity of tinted (smoke) visors. None to be found at shops in PI, Revzilla had zip, nor any of the other usual US vendors, and the LS2 website is useless. Did finally source some (from the UK!).
how to make the visor loose ? i ve got the same helmet and its really hard to pull up. while riding its really hard to pull it up. can someone please help me with it ?
Prithvi Raj Bhujel you don’t want a loose visor. The mechanism on the side might be broken. Try taking the visor out and put it back in again. Or replace the visor. If it’s still hard then it sounds like it’s faulty
I buy few days ago. Around 74$, black ,Small 55-56cm, Ece certified. Some said 2 shell some said 3 shell I m in doubt now. Last thing I feel lot of pain around neck and back, also pain in my both ears.
