Hi Rusty, wow great work but a lot of bat metal to remove, You doing excellent welding and restoration of the VW T2 Bus. and have a great understanding of how to resolve these issues, 🇸🇰👍🏻you are a Metall Artist amazing👏☮.Respect.Greetings from Hubertus🇳🇴
I restored my Split Window in the UK 30 years ago. Not as bad as yours but repair panels weren't as available as now. The front wheel arches (doglegs) I had to order, took 6 months, and were so bad I had to take them apart and reweld to make them fit. Would have loved a spot welder back then!
Thank you very much Brucie. You're right today fixes easier. Better parts availability. Technical capabilities have improved. The joy of work is still the same 😉🍀👍
Everytime I see a body component rotted away by rust I get a very sad feeling. The neglect that these magnificent vehicles are subjected to and left to decay l. sad reflection of one of society l’ ills apathy.
@@rustyr-garage5667 Hello Rusty-R: My question to you is what company or companies are your source(s) for the parts that you do not make. I am aware of several European sources but I haven't seen the parts that you have used. As in the case of the rear wheel well part that was painted black in this video. Was it a Klokkerholm part? Regards, Ronald
There are more companies to choose from: de.hoffmann-speedster.com/bus/bus-t1/reparaturbleche?p=12 www.bbt4vw.com/highlights/silverweldthrough/mobile/index.html www.csp-shop.de/aufbau/blechteile/bus-55-67/
Easy to spot true quality work !
From what I can tell you know your stuff . Those cross beams for the floor looked pretty baked perhaps a coating of Evapo-rust might be in order?
I learn so much from your videos and appreciate that you document the work 👍
Big thanks Jeff 👍

Amazing to see it coming back together, you're doing some job, love the channel
Thank you very much Phil 🍀😉
My friend you might seriously consider buying a good pair of safety goggles for grinding less an errant spark find it’s way around your glasses

What is the source for the panels that you do not make yourself? You seem to have access to sheet metal parts that are not available in the States.
Hi Ronald. Yes, there is a good supply of parts for repair. If I need something, I will make it. Well thank you. 😉
