Welcome to The Final Sk8-a-thon! This event was one of the longest running roller skating events in the country, hosted and promoted by none other than Joe Lofting, a native of Detroit residing in Atlanta. This was the 26th annual event and it did not disappoint! Watch as these amazing skaters glide, jump and skate the weekend away in Atlanta, GA.

I wish I had some thing like this when I was younger I’m almost 60 and I live in Alaska and this just looks like so much fun and all these people are just so absolutely gorgeous and talented. Ice skating was meant to be exclusionary, and along came Debbie Thomas. Theyll never put this on par with Ice Dancing,(which it is), cuz they know itll be dominated by people of color, and they aint gonna let that happen.
