"My family got massacred last week"
"Okay. Good."
"My wife nearly died from ectopic pregnancy because our Republican state won't let us seek female healthcare."
"Okay good."
Cool
@@rabd3721 that would have been the only genuine "okay, good" out of the whole recording.
Lol I can hear him reflexively say that 😹
Probably what he would literally say to someone with family in Gaza.
Shout out to that poor clerk who contributed to the awkwardness by giving that weird creep Vance absolutely nothing back lmaoo
It just screamed minimum wage worker that doesn’t want to deal with this. They wanted to put his donuts in his box in peace so he could leave 💀
Ha ha ha 😂 the pay doesn’t warrant association with the very people that wanna make sure she stays poor… GOOD FOR HER!!!
He didn’t even say let me buy ALL of you guys donuts. Or try to ask them WHAT would they like him to improve in their life. But then Rethuglicans don’t have ANYTHING regarding AGENDA for poor low wage workers.
They want you to take your trust fund & open a business.
I mean, the dickhead didn't even stop filming when asked to not film her. I wouldn't want to interact with an asshole like that either. He's on private property too so he can't try to claim First Amendment protection
Trying to make the footage unusable while keeping her job
He was so mad that the lady just said "okay" to him be a vp nominee that he decided to bury the staff under an avalanche of okays.
initiate defense mechanism 🫷
the staff can't be buried.
he can "decide" to try to do anything BUT ... he "decided" to do something he can't.
staff won, full stop
sam is exactly correct - a big issue is that he can't ask the normal question "how do you like working here?" because that kind of thing doesn't matter to a capitalist.
@@numberonedad agreed. JD’s more concerned with whether or not they’re a competent worker by polling them all on how long they’ve been working here. He thinks collecting data like a robot is making conversation like a weirdo
😅🤣😄😁
Imagine JD Vance and Tucker Carlson together, by themselves, trying to survive in the real world. I would watch every episode of that show.
They'd have a panic attack and call 911 walking a block without a detail
Help police? There's a Black person in the donut store and I'm afraid for my life
They would eat each other the first episode.........with sprinkles
They'd get tangled in a ball of linens when doing laundry.
Coming soon to Fox: The Weird Couple.
Obviously his team didn’t think they’d have to prep him to have a normal interaction at a donut shop… They were wrong
I honestly can’t believe it got released. Of course, they did not blur the girl’s face out- other networks did.
I bet they had to have a meeting with the Bob's after this.
"Ok JD, now's your time to charm the public. Go to the donut shop and show them your softer side and bring me back a glazed."
JD Vance "I don't usually speak with the help. What do I say?"
"Nothing fancy. Just normal stuff, like how long they've been working there, ya know."
@@joanstepleton1637 no film release? I sue for everything they're worth and easily win due to the video specifically saying I do not wish to be filmed.
Vance should avoid normal human interaction going forward. He can't handle it 😂
It's clear Vance doesn't see service workers as people. Only tools.

JD Vance loves his donuts like his couches. Cream filled.
And glazed 😂
Bless his lil cushion creamin heart
It was that booth in the corner, JD thought it was just curvy enough.
Good one.
‘Whatever makes sense’ lol
Remember when we thought nobody could have less human charisma than DeSantis?
Ah.....the good old days.
Trump and his team were so arrogant that they didn't even bother to show Vance clips of Desantis's cringey interactions with normal people and tell him "Don't be like Ron in front of people."
JD can't come up with something to say because he hasn't been told what to say in this interaction. He isn't developing any conversational ability and has no interest to because that isn't his role, JD is not the ideas guy. He is the following orders, yes sir, immediately sir and with tears in my eyes, kinda guy
they didn't vet him (don jr) AT ALL
vance is trump's "judgment" ... at 78 years old
vance is a bought-and-paid-for (theil intern) version of meatball ron
unbelievable
How do people like this make it in this line of work?
DeSantis looks like The Rock compared to Vance.
Dude can’t even order a dozen donuts without weirding it up.
"Please shopkeep, let me have twelve of your most flavorful pastries for my film crew for I am but a humble peasant such as you are!" 😂
@@ZERO_O7X shopkeeper: are you visiting here from kentucky?
@@ZERO_O7Xhonestly that would have been far more interesting
The clear winner in this interaction is the female worker. That "okay" she gave him after he said he was running for VP is the epitome of I don't care energy.
💯 It’s even worse than if she said “I don’t give AF.” Complete indifference is what this DB needs all day, every day.
My natural reaction is to rush to the defense of this person who is clearly socially awkward, and then I remember he voluntarily put himself in the spotlight, and uses that opportunity to say some of the most despicable things I have ever heard somebody say.
Yeah, as I'm on the mild end of the spectrum these kinds of interactions are my achilles heel so I normally don't judge people for being awkward. Honestly, I'd feel bad for most of these MAGA people because they *are* weird and have probably been bullied, but they're so awful it's hard to have any empathy/sympathy for them.
Exactly this. If it weren't JD doing it or anyone like him, I'd have sympathy for them.
When the awkward person is a nice guy, it’s different. It can even be endearing in its own way. When the guy is a jerk who clearly doesn’t care about others, that’s when it feels creepy. That’s when it’s fair game.
He's the sort of guy who gets a boner from cutting funding to programs that might help
I bet he doesn't have this problem talking to people from "his circle"
“Glazed, sprinkled stuff… whatever makes sense.”
Dude wants to be VP, but can’t even order a donut.
I didn’t catch the “whatever makes sense” 😂 Brother, they all make sense, they’re just fucking doughnuts.
Ffs even Data's character from "Star Trek Next Gen" was more human than JD Vance. JFC
This is going to be remembered for years to come. So out of touch with society can't even order a donut.
Were they trying to show that JD Vance is a normal human being? Because they failed! 😂😂😂
The quantum Cthulhu donuts don't make sense, so clearly he didn't want those.
How is it possible that it didn’t cross his mind to ask: what’s your name?
Shocking.
Because he couldn't care less He's so uncomfortable it makes me uncomfortable I haven't watched the whole clip Definitely a cringe-worthy moment...
Meatball Ron did that at a diner and still came back with okay.

I'm autistic with social anxiety. Every time I talk to someone I don't know know, I feel like I'm desperately trying to pass a Voight-Kampff test.
JD Vance makes me feel a lot better about my social skills.
I'm sorry to hear about the social anxiety buddy is pretty hard but remember being awkward is a distorsionated perceptcion you have of yourself most people will think nothing of you or that you seem cool. You can get through this you are really strong for fighting agaisnt you're mind everyday
I dont have the best social skills but I'm practically top rizz compared to this guy
I felt actual, physical discomfort watching this. A true supermassive black hole of charisma lol.

I'm autistic and have social anxiety disorder, and I can carry on a conversation better than he can.
Look at the security guard he was looking down, probably wanting whatever was happening to end
Was JD Vance not allowed to interact with human beings for the first 35 years of his life?
he spent most of those years on a couch?
Probably only with Peter Tiel's money.
I don't know, but he should be barred from human interaction for the NEXT 35 years 😂
Ron DeSantis Redux.
@@AsifKhan-hf9zy on the couch? No
IN the couch? Yes
In all fairness to JD Vance, he's used to ordering donuts by saying "those things that Peter Thiel hand-feeds me when I get a correct answer on my Ayn Rand homework".
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 bring out the g-p…
Brilliant….
Yeah his bf Thiel.
I truly believe he was also thrown off that her reaction to him announcing himself running for VP- it was simply “okay.” I think that he realized he wasn’t going to get the reaction he wanted and it threw off his game plan. It’s clear he’s not good at small talk nor does he associate much with the commoners.
That initial OK from her became supplanted in his brain
The common man are paupers to him, only good as far as they're useful to him.
Which is wild because Vance's (Or w/e the fuck his real name is) parents weren't rich at all he isn't some trust-funder or billionaire offspring like Trump he's just some weird anti-social guy who slithered into a huge pile of gold, it's conceited as hell for him to act like this.
I think he was being passive aggressive "oh you aren't that IMPRESSED with me? I'm going to make a performance out of how unimpressed I am with Y'ALL"
She didn't even know who he was. That didn't help.
As a former barista who would often work alone, a group of that size walking in would’ve put me in “okay” mode right off the bat hahahaha
100% I worked at a big box hardware store and during rush hour or with a big enough crowd, I’m not trying to make small talk.
For sure. I don't care how important you are just be clear and straight and don't waste my time.
This campaign is full of idiots. Who doesn't vet a location to make sure they're amicable to your cause before going there?
Thank you!!!! As soon as I saw this clip I thought “I thought they make sure these sorts of environments are ‘friendly’??????” Why is he not at some rural place in Georgia???? Bad candidates: bad campaign.
It's apparent how much Bannon was still involved with strategy. Since he's in prison the campaign has no direction, and Bannon was the only guy Trump would listen to.
they know trump is not going to pay their bill.............
so they are not spending too much money doing this........
just went to the donut shop outside the RNC headquarters.........
in and out, zero travel expenses.......
Or AT LEAST ask if they're cool with a huge group of people coming in and filming them. It's so unbelievably rude to just walk in out of nowhere and force a bunch of low wage workers who probably hate your guts to participate in a painfully awkward campaign publicity stunt with the least charismatic/personable person on the planet... forcing them into a situation where they HAVE to be polite and courteous to you or risk getting fired and/or doxxed and attacked online by your unhinged supporters.
Staff probably hates Vance. Did zero prep. 😂😂
At least JD didn't tell her that immigrants were coming to steal her black job
That's actually very surprising. I'm surprised those "caravans of migrants" shtick hasn't started yet. The GQP don't realize/don't care how far some of them have traveled to escape the dangers in their country. Ffs if they are coming from Venzuela, that's almost 3000 miles, which is approx the same distance from Washington state to Orlando. FL
😂
They might have cut that part out - he says that to everybody 😂
What!? Why!!?? That would have made it a little funnier. It would have added much needed drama
His running mate thinks you need ID to buy bread.
And that a 10% tariff on every import won't be felt. What?
I guess you don't need ID to buy donuts. That should be headline news.
Ok. Good.
🤣🤣👏👏
Okay. Good.
JD is an un-person
this is my favorite comment
Imagine how happy those workers would be, if JD said that Don is going to raise the minimum wage.
exactly, inhuman doesn’t really grasp it. he is ‘un’ human, he actually degrades and deteriorates humanity
@@c.o.6414 and we thought it was sickening how Mike Pence would lovingly look at Trump as he stood behind him. Through every disgusting comment, every lie he told...
JD has even less integrity. Yikes!
" A lot of glazed here, some sprinkle stuff, cinnamon roles, whatever makes sense." Who orders like that? He really felt uncomfortable.
"How do you do, fellow humans?"
"Okay good"
😂 I'm picturing Buscemi's face falling off to reveal cogwheels and wires!
On my homeworldzzzztown, we too had businesses which exchanged fried dough for legal tender, 30 rotations of the sun back
WHAT THE FUCK. How can someone running for public office be so miserable campaigning?
i would bet something, if i wasn’t broke, that jdv has never played a game of pool at a public establishment. he does not seem to do well with meeting new people or people who aren’t just like him.
Because he wasn't meant to campaign. He got picked by tech bros for idealogical reasons, thinking they had the election in the bag.
@@oohhboy-funhouse I mean to be fair against Biden they probably would have it in the bag.
@@speedy01247that’s how low the fucking bar is… one of the reasons why Harris is the favorite now, despite some pretty sus actions especially towards the genocide in Gaza. To say we’re cooked is an understatement, we’re being turned into charcoal at this point.
@@oohhboy-funhouse He's a senator. He already campaigned before this VP run. So the question still stands.
JD Vance's hair looks worse than mine when I would cut it myself in the army.
I saw a picture from the back but thought that wasn’t real…nope, it is!
Also the way he doesn’t even specify his order would drive me nuts
“Whatever makes sense for a large group of people because I’m not sure. I typically am not invited to events with enough people to warrant buying a whole box.”
This whole interaction is so fucking regional manager coded. Like his whole vibe is he is from corporate and he’s here on a site visit before layoffs.
Right lol
Holy hells! You NAILED it. That’s exactly it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s funny that when he orders the donuts, which is the reason one is there, he’s like “whatever, sprinkle stuff”…..that’s the moment you can engage, like ask the. which one is their favorite, or tell them which ones you like. I know how to do this and I’m an introvert. Geez!
I have an anxiety disorder and this is what my worst nightmare looks like, but even I know I do better than that 💀
Seriously! Even if you're on Ozempic and have no enthusiasm for food...it's called faking it! Most politicians do it.
You really think every Harvard educated lawyer who's ever ran for office is truly happy to be going to a state fair and eating fried crap?
They aren't. They just pretend.
He went to the Zuckerberg school of acting human.
And flunked out it seems... this guy makes Zuck look like a relatively normal dude in comparison lmao
I am convinced Zuckerberg is one of those androids from the Aliens movies.
Didn't Walz in one of his speeches say something like imagine them ordering food, they wouldn't even know how to do it?
Lol, he said "imagine them trying to work a Mcflurry machine" which sounds downright charitable now.

The funniest thing that came out of this was a post on Twitter/x that said something to the effect of " I didn't know they made bangs for the back" and now I can't look away from it. His haircut is bad
I never noticed that, now I can’t unsee it
It honestly looks like a toupée or something
“How many cats you got?” Ok

"Ok guys, put the cameras away. I apologize for that maam."
See? How hard is that?
I’ve been a DC resident since 2014 DC resident, and I worked as a food cashier at a coffee and sandwich shop chain in DC for 7 years. During Trump’s presidency we got so used to protestors and ringing up protestors that we didn’t do much as blink when we would hear continuous fire trucks and police sirens; we literally would look at each other and say: “Maybe Trump set the White House on fire this time.”
We literally ran out of food to serve when The Women’s March happened in 2017. I distinctly remember taking an extra shift one Saturday in 2018 not realizing that it was on the March For Our Lives protest date, and the location of the shop I was sent to was right where the protesting was happening.
That shop which normally made $1,500 on Saturdays made almost $14,000 that day because it was freezing outside and everyone wanted our hot soups and hot coffees and hot chocolates (there were only 4 of us working the whole shop that day, one of which was designated to the kitchen, I have no idea how we pulled off that entire shift). My point being we got seasoned in ringing up crowds from all political ends of the spectrums who were fired up and emotionally charged for what they were marching for.
When the Covid vaccines became available, DC mandated that all food establishments require that each customer show their vaccination cards and ID’s before we could serve them. Most complied no problem, but we definitely got plenty of QAnon, anti- mask/ anti-vaccine customers who would angrily scream at us for following the mandated protocols DC had made for ALL the businesses. We refused to budge to their demands that we break the laws for their convenience, and told them they were free to go elsewhere, but all of the other businesses would tell them the exact same thing we did. This was a DC mandate, not individual businesses trying to be “woke.”
January 6th was an act of terrorism that shocked us to our core, even after all the protests we’d had, because it wasn’t protesting that time, it was an attack on our democracy.
Very luckily I was on furlough and they had yet to call me back to come back to work, so I wasn’t at any of the shops that were right in the direct crossfire of the insurrectionists as they made their way towards the Capitol, but I can’t say the same for my coworkers, (although I think they sent them home early when things began escalating).
With all that said, in all my years that I was a food cashier, I have never felt even close to the level of discomfort that I felt while watching JD Vance’s interaction in the donut shop. Even the QAnon Anti Vaccine/ Anti maskers that would scream at us for following DC’s vaccines mandates weren’t this unsettling or unnerving as this interaction.
That doesn’t just speak volumes to JD Vance’s character (or lack thereof), it screams it.
Watching him interact with these workers is like watching a Body Snatcher trying to blend in who didn’t get the memo on how to absorb all the memories of whomever they’re replacing so that they assimilate seamlessly without anyone suspecting something is off.
To me, striking up a fun, personable conversation about donuts with the workers there couldn’t be easier; as a lover of chocolate I’d be greeting them with a smile and saying: “I tend to gravitate towards chocolate donuts; I’m pretty positive I have chocolate homing beacon or magnet within me, but what are your favorite donuts to eat here? They ALL look so good!”
Like it’s really not that hard to get genuinely excited about donuts 😂. Now I want donuts.
Damn, he has the personality of a sheet of printer paper, and the charisma of dryer lint…
Where are those "appalachian roots" that are supposed to help him connect with people?? Oh, thats right, that story is as fake Trump being a good businessman.
Now, to be clear, I LOVE that JDV is Trump's running mate. Cheers MR crew!

She said no to being filmed on camera and they didnt cut her out, hope she takes legal action of some sort 😅
He doesn't struggle ordering a doughnut. He struggles in making small talk with ordinary people. I'm sure everyone there knew which doughnuts he wanted (even if he really didn't care because pastries were secondary to a photo-op), and he got the ones he indicated. On the other hand, he turned what should have looked like a mundane conversation just to fill time into the Republican Inquisition.
He is worse at small talk than me 😂😂😂
These people are so sheltered that they can't even order a single donut 💀💀💀💀☠️☠️☠️

It's hilarious they even put this video out. Personally, I would have went to a different shop and tried again.
Probably watched the video and were like “yeah that’s good footage”.

He's like Trump, just ordering 'a bunch of those', because he knows it's just a bit and nobody's eating those donuts. They're going into a dumpster just outside untouched.

Best thing JD has ever done
Nailed it with the "Office" comment.
If I had worked there, I would have asked Vance "How long have you been in your current job and why did the last guy retire?"
"Alot of glazed, some sprinkle stuff... Whatever makes sense" Says no normal person in a Doughnut Shop.
Nice to see JD in his element, since he knows all about glazing
Unfortunately he's used to filling fluffy objects up without onlookers present so this ended up really awkward
He didnt get a single jelly donut? No Boston cream? Apple fritter? Just glazed and sprinkles? Weirdo
My favorite quotes are “sprinkle stuff”, “whatever makes sense” “i didn’t know if it had been here for 4 or 20 years”
He didn’t even have to know about donuts. He could of asked - whats your favorite? Whats the best seller? What makes your donuts awesome? Give me a dozen of your best sellers! JFC.
This was the main topic in my household yesterday. “What’s your favorite flavor?” “Which usually sells out the fastest?” etc are such absolute basics of basic conversational skills for anyone, let alone a politician. It’s elementary school level stuff and would’ve, you know, made this conversation look a lot less like he was checking their timesheets and work papers like some kind of high level fascist government official oh wait-
