If I may recommend two earlier versions of the song to curious listeners :
1) In the 1971 recording by Early Music Consort of London, titled "Music of the Crusades", sung by late James Bowman (counter-tenor) and accompanied by lute, harp.
2) In the original manuscript of Carmina Burana, the "Alte Clamat Epicurus" (CB 211) section is sung to the melody of "Palästinalied", but of course, the text tells a totally different tale. _(".../ So, after stuffing food enough to cause a scandal, / Gently my insides I handle, / Once I've sniffed the last aroma, / Sleeping off my drunken coma.")_ A great rendition is included in the 1974 recording by Clemencic Consort, titled "Carmina Burana - Vol. 1 - version originale & integrale".
