I've been building and playing on Battle Systems terrain for the past month, and I'm very impressed. High quality, affordable, and remarkably innovative. Not to mention, fantastic looking. The construction tutorial videos from Battle Systems are essential; I wouldn't have been able to build anything without them. One thing I would suggest: reinforce everything with clear PVA glue or hot glue. This will allow the buildings to last many years.
What do you think about painting some of the white edges along the roofs? I love the rest of the appearance of these, but that and the clips looking glossy are the only things that stand out in the video in a negative way.
I haven't tried painting the edges, but I think that would work! When I'm in the middle of a game I don't notice the clips too much, but I agree that they do stand out, especially if I'm using the terrain for pictures. I've purchased more terrain from them recently and I was really pleased to see that the Wizards Tower doesn't use the clips, and instead incorporates the tabs into the overall design. You can still see tabs where pieces slot together, but they don't stand out nearly as much as the clips.
Great question! I use two solid pieces of 36" x 48" foam board on top of a standard 6' folding table, which has held up surprisingly well. Most of the foam board of this size I can find in nearby stores is tri-fold, but a good friend of mine gave these to me after an event where they were no longer needed.
Just stumbled across this when checking online for terrain. The whole Battle Systems line seems amazing for the cost, particularly this and the tavern in terms of fantasy. Glad there's some affordable ways to create towns and large areas for miniatures. I love warhammer but a village like this from GW would be like $500.
Thanks for watching! I've been really enjoying their terrain, and I think most of the kits are a great value for what you get. I like terrain from GW as well, but getting enough to cover an entire table the way I want would be way more than I can spend!
The first mat is a 3x3' game mat from Monster Fight Club! The second mat later in the video is the Irradiated Plains 6x4' game mat from Frontline Gaming.

Fantastic video, BTW @Vicarious Venture Gaming.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for the entertaining video! Enjoyed it, I'm eying the Northern Settlement Set myself ;)
You're very welcome and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I've had my eye on that one and the Fantasy Battlefield as well!
Thank you for the video. I just started building terrain and buildings. This is very helpful

Random question. How did you expand your table?
