My First Time DISPERSED Truck Camping / Grilling Burgers at Trona Pinnacles in Napier Backroadz Tent

- This week I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and do something that Ive never done before. Recently, Ive been camping at campgrounds and state parks and I enjoy the peace of mind that comes along with camping in a park. However, I wanted to challenge myself to camp completely dispersed.
After searching UA-cam for a few days, I came across the Trona Pinnacles and knew this would be the perfect location for my first dispersed truck camping trip.
The adventure started out on the 5 mile dirt and washboard road that takes you from CA-178 to the pinnacles. I planned ahead to get to the road just after sunrise to get the best drone photography. I was taken back by just how beautiful this drive is in the early morning. Vast salt flats and epic mountain views made this a really scenic drive and an adventure all its own.
To make my first dispersed experience even more solitary, I made the trip on a Monday and was stoked to find that I was one of the few campers in the area. In fact, I could not see any other campers anywhere near me. The solitude was amazing and really added to the reclusive feeling of this adventure
I also made the effort to pick a campsite with expansive and wide open views. this didn't offer me much shade but instead offered me amazing 360 degree views of the area.
Overall, this was an amazing camping trip and I'm glad you came along.
Feel free to stick around so you don't miss out on the next adventure!

I should of not bought a topper, either do what you did or bought a tent...lol....nice video!!!
Thanks! There’s pro’s and con’s to each. The important thing is getting out there. Good luck on your adventures 😎🤟
Nice video! Now that I’ve watched it I’m super excited to show up with my pups and camera gear for some exploration & Astrophotography Sessions. 🐺🤠🐺
Awesome. You’ll have a great time out there. This is one of my favorite places to camp
Truck camping and mountain biking all you need now is a camp dog 🐕…new subscriber 👍

Badass grill, I’ve had mine for a number of years now and I’ve bounced it in the bed of the truck for thousands of miles. Heading to Trona in a few days for nightscape photography, currently in Death Valley.
Thanks man. I cook on this thing non-stop. Perfect for RVing and camping. Hope you have a blast out there!
Nailed it! Really great content and photography.
Much appreciated 😊🙌

@@ChenzosWorld Yo you have IG ??
I just need to know what that red thing is by the rock at 3:56.
When l was there I camped right next to a pinicle. I was laying on the floor of my van with the doors open, when out of nowhere a fighter jet appeared from behind the pinicle, seemingly only a few hundred feet above me. Never even heard it coming.
It's a cool place for a couple of nights, but gets boring pretty fast.
@@RippSnortin that was my camp chair! I set it in the shade of that boulder as that was the only shade available at the time. I wasn’t there long enough to get bored but I should have spent atleast another day out there to explore. Hopefully I’ll see a jet next time. It’s surrounded by military installations.
Hey man. Any wild animals out there? Snakes maybe? Also, will regular front wheel drive cars make it out there? Nice content. Thanks!
Thanks! Surprisingly I didn’t see or hear any critters while I was out there. I think regular vehicles can make it out there. I would just be very careful once you actually get to the pinnacles. Some of the roads to access some of the campsites got pretty steep and rutted.
Very nice. What time of year were you there.
Thanks. It was winter. Mid- February
