Thank you. Yes home prices in Ottawa are significantly less expensive than Toronto. Because of this, there is a good deal of Toronto money coming into Ottawa to invest in our real estate.
Our last local update for Alta Vista was in February and covered the previous 90 days, you can see it here, and we expect to update this in June/July... www.agentinottawa.com/alta-vista-stats/
Price increases is fake & making people fool by brokers. Fact - people losing job, mortagage default, moving to near suburb for cheap housing due to work from home possible. Broker makes Fool on price.
Rajeev, I assure you the numbers are statistically accurate. I invite you to read this brief national report www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2020/05/25/2038254/0/en/REIN-Report-Canada-s-major-housing-markets-are-slumping-except-one.html
It is interesting to comment on this one year later, that the increases were not and are not fake. In fact they were the beginning of major price escalations. People in Ottawa did lose jobs but the statistics are that the IT industry and federal workers did not lose jobs which fed the housing industry. We simply report statistical facts. If you have another source of valid data please provide it.
good info,is it cheaper over there compared to Toronto?

It is more expensive in Toronto, but Ottawa is better... maybe I'm biassed.
