Good puzzle! Great solve! I was stuck at the same spot you were until about 20 minutes in your video, although I had the 146 triple in box 2. If only I had seen within that the pointing 6's! You found them for me and that finished the puzzle. Thanks.
35:53. I was completely stuck for 20 minutes. Until I noticed that the 146 triple in box 2 had a pointing pair of 6s, placing the 6 in box 1. From that point the rest could be filled in.
Can someone help explain the triple 146 in box 2? How is it a triple? It looks to me like 1, 4, and 6 could go elsewhere in box… (Full disclosure, I struggle the most with triples!)
There are two kinds of triples and you're confusing them. There are naked triples and hidden triples. The triple in box 2 was a naked triple, meaning that those three cells were externally reduced to just three distinct values, and since they all have to be different values, all three of those values must be used in those three cells. A hidden triple is what you're thinking of, where three values can only appear in three cells within the box, and therefore can only be those three values.
Am I the only one who is pleased to see a long video from Rangsk knowing that I’ve got a more tricky puzzle to have a go at? 😂

27 minutes but at least I didn’t have to come back here for a hint, I finally got through one of these tough ones on my own!

Got pointing 1s and 5s in b4 early. Also the 78 and 16 pairs. Still took me nearly 50 mins. Hard.
Got the triple in box 5 early on, but missed other geometry- 31:25 for me today

I think there was a 14, a 16 and a 46 in 3 boxes, so those 3 boxes had to contain 1,4 and 6.
