This is great! I just moved here from Florida, so I'm used to waking up and hitting the gulf of Mexico. I haven't 100% gotten the hang of fresh water fishing and have caught ZERO at my attempts at priest lake, but this gives me hope. Soon as it warms up I'm giving it another go.
I have wanted to fish down town for a long time, I drove Uber for years and I would always check out the river any time I could. Great video! Color me jealous!
Several years ago the country singer and a guide from lebanon tn were catching smallmouth with the nashville skyline in the picture.i believe the guides last name was duckworth. Anyway keep up the great work be careful out there.
Thank God you were on the Cumberland and not downtown Nashville that night. They had Kenny Chesney in Nissan Stadium and the traffic on Broadway was its normal crazy. I was out on the bike so it wasn't too bad. Next time I'll look for you out on the river.
I'm new sub to your channel nice to see someone fishing around where I live I bank fish up and down that part of the river there some good trophy holes around their
Has the boat ramp at Shelby park been difficult to launch from? I’ve seen some rough reviews about it but can’t find too many other decent places to launch near downtown
I have so many questions... What boat ramp did you launch from? Do the boat ramps close at a certain time? What time were you fishing during this video? I have a 12 foot jon boat with a 3.5 HP motor. Do you think that is adequate to take on the Cumberland River fishing?
I love watching this video i live in Nashville and fish the same area on the cumberland river and have cought some really good ones over there its a lot of fun and would love to see some more of these videos Nice Fish👍...By the way do you remember how deep the water was over through there by the stadium?
I need fishing buddies in Nashville. I fish every day.. from priest lake to Tim's Ford to stones river to Cumberland bend all kinds of parks boat docks and random places. What's up yall
Hey nice video I have heard of flat heads hitting cut bait, but you are getting them better then me. Lol. All I use is blue gill heads and never caught a flat head. I've only caught one flat head ever. It was a little one on night crawlers.
Sawyer H. Try fishing near the channel drop off especially around fallen and submerged trees. If one spot doesn’t work out, pick another and keep trying. Good luck
Hey man, how can you tell a blue cat from the channel cat?? Out here in Cali, a lot of folks claim they caught a blue when its just a different color channel. . . I've even seen bullheads labeled blues, ha. Make a video showing the differences, please!!
Blue cats have a long anal fin with a straight edge, channel cats have a rounded anal fin. Blue cats also have a taller back and usually have a blueish tint. Channel cats often have a yellowish tint and the young ones have black speckles. But the color may vary from one fish to another
thats awesome, i have walked over that bridge several times always looking down at the water
wasn't expecting you here

Cats don't care if the party is over or not, because they're in school.

Stay Blessed!
Always good fishin' below the ol' Elm Hill warehouse's Slaughter Dump Sites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it's insane that you don't have at least 250k subs. You have AMAZING content! Keep it up. Looking forward to deer season!

Oldskool Funk I heard the music and saw the traffic, was glad I was on the river
I moved, the traffic got damn crazy. Nashville isn't very- easy for people who don't like crowds these days.

I got a real nice 20 lb channel cat at Nice Mill on a butterfly attached to a spoon with salmon eggs. Ya never know.
How about a video of river to table with your catfish. Would love to see your cleaning method and your favorite recipes for them.
I would sooner eat one of the Dupont bass out of Old Hickory.
Where did you launch your boat?
Howdy man! 🇺🇸👍
Excellent video Catman! what kind of camera are you using there?
SoUTh Outdoors thanks, I actually used 3 cameras in this one... an Ultra Pro X cam, my iPhone 8+, and my brand new Panasonic WXF1.
Nice fishing videos at night.

Did you go to Harpeth?
This is literally right next to my work imma go catch the same big boy
Did it have a hook in its guts?
You from tennessee
I’m new to Nashville where’s the best place to catch some catfish around this time of year without a boat
Any public ramp is worth a shot, some of the locals catch some big ones from shore. There are catfish everywhere in the Cumberland.
Thanks man I’ll give them a try
What kind of rod holders do you use? Thanks
Keith Golden Monster rod holders from Steve Douglass
What size hook you use? Circle?
crax usually 5/0 or 6/0 circle and sometimes Kahle
ever have luck with blood bait
Fishing line coming out of his butt. You gotta be kidding me
That catfish didn't want to surface because he doesn't like the city either.
