I own the Babylock Imagine serger and the Presto sewing machine. But I am considering purchasing just an embroidery machine as I don't want to tie up my machine doing one of the two functions on a combo machine. I'm considering the Babylock Flourish:-).

Can you applique with a baby lock flare?

Thanks for your patience. The Baby Lock Flair is an embroidery only machine that can create applique designs within the embroidery function and actually has an entire menu of shapes that can be used for that purpose. Hi, I just bought a Brother M280D embroidery machine and I would like to learn to applique with it. I would like to ask you how to set the machine to do all the three stiches on a applique (or they are already set with the applique pattern? Does the stickiness on the back of the fusible gum up the needle at all? Thanks for these demos!!

Hello! It can over time, but, for certain projects it works really well. I wouldn't recommend it for a dense design. It can be really great for certain projects (for instance, a fabric that moves a lot in the hoop) and less dense embroidery projects!
