I appreciate your courage to speak up about the less than favorable look of US politics. As a proud US citizen I agree. Our shift toward authoritarian ideals and misguided nationalism is alarming and that is only the tip of the iceberg.
Pretty unique look on this pair of diesels. I have never been a plain Toe Boot person and all my GS boots are Ottawas or the captoe boot. Love the solid build of these 🔥 That said, the diesel certainly has a clean and classic look, maybe I'll add one to my GS collection one day.
I loved your review! You’re a masterful communicator and storyteller. I was enthralled throughout the entire video. Thank you for uploading and have a nice day.
Love your the depth of your content and clear presentation style. It’s apparent that your life experience lends naturally to your passion. I’m now a subscriber. Thank you!
Not insulted. Solid realistic business position rooted in reality and experience. Also disgusted that you are correct about our American politics. We'll fix it if we survive. Thanks for the great boot reviews
Your reviews have been very helpful. The in depth analysis and objective opinion you provide has made this hobby fun and not financially debilitating, lol. I watched this (and notable others) video several times before deciding I didn't need another brown boot, to my wife's applause. After months of standing strong to temptation I finally broke and got the Storm suede. If you're curious there was no applause from my wife this time.
Hi Tei, your commentary & detailed description of these boots was enjoyable and educational. The video image is both sharper & brighter than in previous videos. It appears that the camera (phone?) is placed closer to you & the boots, makes a big difference. Kudos! I'm looking forward to your next installment. Cheers, B.
an amazing combination of the coffee suede and the cream wedge soles. I am a big fan of wedge soles, nothing beats the comfort of a wedge sole. they are great for outdoors, without carrying all the dirt inside. great video Teik! Unfortunately these boots are 340,- usd now
Hi Tei! Great review! Have been binge watching your videos as I just started getting into boots myself. I really like the look of these, however I have been looking around and it seems like Grant Stone haven't made a black color upper with this sole? Do you happen to know if they have ever made it? Or is there another suede upper boot in black that can be an alternative to this one, in the same style? Thanks in advance!
No they never made a black. I can’t think of another black suede with a wedge sole. You may have to investigate pricier makes like Trickers and Viberg, or an Indonesian made to order brand.
Teik - Those look like a nice pair! I am an American and totally understand the sad shape of our political environment. It's a joke. In any case, I have really fallen for Grant Stone recently. I have a pair of honey glazed shell Ottawa boots on pre-order. Anxiously awaiting their arrival in 12 or so weeks...but who's counting! lol. Take care.
You most certainly did not insult this American---in fact, you could not have been more correct. So don't you worry about any of that, mate. Keep doing these thoughtful, insightful reviews. Now I don't particularly love this Vibram sole's look but that is merely a matter of taste. (I can appreciate that others do.) But the way you presented the matters of the construction, fit, and particularly the suede will influence a future GS purchase. GS really can't be beat for overall value and care in production. I just can't fathom how they make boots this good at this price point.
thanks for another stellar overview, I'm really enjoying your videos. Sadly it seems that the Coffee Suede is no longer available....//all the best troutbumandsam
I don't care from where the product has come from. Grant Stone footwear display great design, materials, workmanship and quality control. Making them in China give us working class men the ability to wear elegant shoes with lower prices. I had a pair of Indonesian bespoke boots that get the Wow reaction but when I say they are made in a small family business in a small town in Indonesia people show disappointment as if Indonesians are not capable and intelligent enough to make top quality footwear. Just rediculous.
Strange , a such beautiful boot , but having the cream color on tge sides and bottom surley will look nasty because after a short while you will never get to clean it to its natural cream color it will always look dingy old while the upper can still look sharp and new , to me that's a bad combo .
I really like your detailed, honest, objective reviews. But to even remotely compare American politics [yes, even in the last couple years] to the oppression of the Communist Chinese government is very insulting. And that is the very reason I do not own a pair of Grant Stone's. Keep up the good reviews but please leave the politics out of it.
Hi Teik, great review! I'm currently torn between going for Parkhurst Richmonds in light double shot, or GS Diesels in either earth waxy commander or natural CXL. I know it's entirely down to personal preference, but if you had to pick one which would it be? The 602 and Leo lasts really appeal to me and I think any of those leathers will look fantastic over time. Also, your discussion of Chinese manufacturing in this video was great, as a cyclist I'm seeing the exact same thing happening with bike frames as customers in the west are realising that Chinese QC is as good as we want it to be.
Oh man, like choosing your favourite child! I think Parkhurst is better if you like the more rugged Viberg look. On the other hand Grant Stone are so perfect so if that’s your inclination.
@@Bootlosophy my size just sold out at Parkhurst, so I just ordered some natty CXL diesels. Can't wait! I've seen some Parkhurst samples popping up in waxed flesh with commando soles which look awesome, I think I'll see if more appear soon.

Even more unfortunately they don’t make them in coffee suede anymore!

I just replaced the stud soles on my Deisels with that Vibram sole. Absolutely love them!
Any shell cordovan / calfskin leather boots reviews? Something to wear with a blazer and tailored slacks?

True - but the Tan and Storm suedes are still available 😝
@@Bootlosophy you are right Sir! might have to get the one in Bourbon Suede//troutbumandsam
Heyp are the suede version narrower than the full grain leather?
No, same last
Wish they would have done these with a brown Vibram wedge sole. The white is off-putting for me.
Great informative and enjoyable video as usual.
Thanks buddy
tek speaking truths in this video! lol
Very handsome boots! 🔥
Great vid!
As an American, I can say my dislike of Australian politics nearly equals that of China, but I can still enjoy watching your channel. 😉
Aussie politics? You and me both! 🤷🏻♂️
