I feel like more of us have an 800. Ive got a 2017 model with 3100 miles. Its a great dependable machine. Im more of a trail rider than a mud rider but i also live in east tennessee beside windrock park so i see alot of mud for sure. For the money these machines are all you need. The 800 ex has surprised me and others in so many ways on the trail. Cf moto makes great machines and thats just that. Keep these great vids coming you guys are awesome!

So, having the dune done and a stage 2 clutch kit, would probably make it waay faster than stock...btw great videos. Thank you for all the work you put in it. We get a lot of valuable info.

Is there any Mods I can do to my 2022 800XC without voiding the warranty? I would love to do the dual exhaust a tune and a clutch kit. Am I SOL til warranty is up?
Don’t void warranty, but it can effect it. Just depends on the issues. We have not had any warranty problems yet with any model.
@@stevecrane6894 Do you know if you have to tune it after the Dual exhaust upgrade? I know there is less back pressure and exhaust runs cooler with it. The reason I want to upgrade exhaust is cause my right thigh gets very very hot while riding. My 800XC is brand new less than 30 miles on it. If you are just trail riding you have to pull your leg away from the side cover cause it gets that hot.
Richard when we tuned the 800 XC we set the parameters within the ECU to adjust for the better air flow on the RJWC Exhaust.. so it will work within those set parameters on the AFRs with the stock exhaust and the dual rjwc exhaust. You will be VERY HAPPY with it. That is what i run as well from MSC.

The guy talking said that the raised the horsepower to 50 horse but on the specifics it shows that the 800 comes stock at 62hp. I guess I’m confused.
All Manufacturers rate their Horse power ratings using a Crank Dyno to see what to motor produces at the crank shaft before it’s hooked to any driveline (transmission, CVT, drive shafts, differentials, axels, wheels and tires) .. all of those absorb horsepower as it takes power to turn all of that and make the atv, SxS, truck or car to move.
So what you feel and I feel when we push the throttle is not what is produced at the crank but what is applied to the Ground..
that is why we as well as many other tuners and performance parts manufacturers use dynos that measure Horsepower at the wheels.
So this number is what you actually feel, and that is what we use to measure performance enhancing mods.. we get a baseline stock run and then compare to runs after certain mods to measure actual performance increases. 👍
Do these tunes effect the range when not driven hard?

The tune will be similar but different as the throttle mapping will be different. We will get to the U800 soon
Camera on his dash you'd think you'd have showed it say 80. And the speedo is way off. I hit 78 at 8000 rpm running 30s on mine in only .6 miles by gps. And it was still pulling hard. So what are the AFR at cruising, accelerate, and wot? Is it gonna need changing of the switch points with clutch and different rpm running range? Inquiring minds want to know if it really worth it.
Anything to sell an over priced tune.
@@larry97016 that thing is just a shell too. Add some accessories to it stuff that blocks wind. More aggressive bigger tires. Tune the clutch and try it again on gps. I did. With a $130 tune flash tune like what they are using and $150 worth of clutching. ON 30s. With video proof I might add.

Is this for 87 octane fuel or 91/93?
If you look in the owners manual it said not to run anything below 89 regardless. Since new I’ve ran 93 then I wouldn’t worry about it.

Does a tune void warranty?
I’ve never seen a issue come up that should be covered under warranty that was not due to a tune..
The 800 EX has a factory HP rating at 62. So you lost 12HP????
Michigan Moto.. that is 62 HP at the crank.. we measure horse power applied at the wheel with our Dyno.. a quick google search of the difference between HP measured at the crank vs measured at the tires will explain it all 👍

80mph on the speedo so with how far the speedo is off with 26" tire you really only had a top speed of around 72mph. Get a GPS top speed and truly see what the top speed is. There are 800ex's running around that will do 80mph GPS without your MSC tune.
Hey Larry.. thanks for your comment and concern. But Not everyone’s Speedometer is 8mph off.. cfmoto has been working to fix their speedometer calibration on the newer models. I do know that some have reported being off by 5 to 8 mph in the past (I also personally had one that was off by 6mph on the top end according to a GPS in the past) . But I believe they are much closer on the 2022 models than the past ones. My 2022 UFORCE 1000 was only 3mph off on the top end with stock tires) ..
Now as far as whether we used the speedometer or a gps to check the speed does not matter as long as you get a baseline with one or the other and then use the same method to measure the speed after the tune.
This 2022 model 800ex would only hit 74 mph before the tune on the speedometer and after the MSC TUNE it hit 80MPH. 👍
Post up a GPS speed, because of right now I only know of 1 cf moto that has went past 80mph on gps, and without a raised rev limiter.

Wish I could afford to justify a tune but results seem negligible for the costs but Its probably just the cheapskate in me talking.
