Aamras in two different styles | Mango recipes with coconut and Milk | Summer Desserts

  • This summer enjoy two different styles of making Aamras. One with milk and other with cocnut and jaggery. This is a very popular dessert in South India.!
    Ingredients
    Method 1
    Alphonso Mangoes 5-6
    Milk- 1 glass
    Cardamom powder- 1-2 tsp
    Sugar powder - 4-5 tbsp
    Method 2
    Alphonso Mangoes 5-6
    Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
    Cardamom - 7-8
    Jaggery- 4-5 tbsp
    Instructions
    Method 1
    1) Wash and peel ripe alphonso mangoes and cut them into small pieces
    2) Squeeze out all the pulp of the mango seeds with little water and mix them all together
    3) Add milk, cardamom powder, and sugar powder and mix well
    4) Serve as it is or with Puri or Roti
    Method 2
    1) Wash and peel ripe alphonso mangoes and cut them into small pieces
    2) Squeeze out all the pulp of the mango seeds with little water and mix them all together
    3) Add grated coconut, cardamom seeds and jaggery in a mixer grinder and blend it into a smooth paste
    4) Serve cold or as it is or with Puri/ Roti
