Andy, this is a great way to keep up with your subscribers while you get healed up! I'm guessing it's gonna be somewhat difficult going through all the submissions and finding the ones that'll impact the most viewers, but thankfully your experience will shine here. I may even send in a question on my own dumpster fire 1968 Hatteras 34 that's going on its 4th year in restoration.

    I have a question for you. small boats ( fishing ) 15 - 19 ft with a rotten transom.
    Would you generally
    a) remove the outer skin renew core and reglass over.
    b) remove inner skinn renew core and reglass over.
Assuming we follow your previous best practice of tapering joints and adding strength .
followed up by your take on why you prefer one route over the other.
Cheers Andy , look forward to hearing you you are being fixed.

Andy I have a 36CHB trawler I have a walk way down both sides. This boat only has 1 stern cleat on each corner and one on my Hydraulic anchor winch. I need to add 2 mid ship cleats and I don’t want them screwed into the cap rail I’m looking at thru house cleats. Which means I had to cut windows into the deck walk way and reinforce it. I’ll send you pics tomorrow. The rest of the fwd deck and house record are done thanks to you.

Oh, you're making comedies now. Well, my mother bought a sailboat trailer, but it came with an actual sailboat. And it is parked in my driveway now. It's raining all day and the tarp over it is creating its own koi pond. Hilarious!

Hi Andy. I’ve got to do some overhead laminating on the inside of my boat. I need to fit and laminate over stiffeners overhead on the inside of the cabin top. I’ve watched your video where you laminated on a test panel which was at about 45 degrees. I’d be interested in a video where the lamination was on a horizontal surface directly overhead. All the best👍

Andy, I have some concern regarding my hard-top project for a 39ft boat. I'm going to build two arches and lay a roof over. The question is should I make arches through the deck and glass them to the deck from both sides or would it be sufficient to clean some space on top and glass them to the deck without drilling through.
Estimated roof area is 9m², estimated total load will be 250kg.

I have an issue with the balsa coring on the foredeck of my boat. Previous owner has attempted to repair a section but it is apparent they did not support the new coring as you can press down the gelcoat above it. Unsure if I should cut out the replaced coring and start fresh.

Hey Andy, I'm about to start laying fiberglass for a floor, stringers and transom replacement. Do I need to sand between layers if I have to let it sit for a week or so? For instance, when I get the transom done, if I don't get to the floor until the next weekend, do I need to sand the transom where I will be fiberglassing onto it? Or just wipe it down with Aceteone or Styrene Monomer? I'll be using Total boat Laminating Polyester Resin

I have an 18-foot seaswirl with an OMC engine that is shot. I bought a donor boat with a new mercruser . I have been trying to find out what I need to do, and I have been told I have to plug the transom and cut another hole for the mercruser and others have said it will fit with no problems. The engines are the same 4.3 v6. The only difference in the engine is the doner engine is a vortex. My thoughts are to swap all the drivetrain. Could you please advise me. The boat and engine are in Idaho, and I'm in California recovering from a total knee replacement surgery. If you think this might be something you would like a video of, I will be up there in the spring after I heal, and I can shoot something then.
Thanks for your videos. I have learned a lot, and my confidence has come a long way, and I'm looking forward to making this boat look like new.

Andy, I have a 15ft boat that has a VERY thin floor. Probably needs replaced, it has two holes and patching doesn't seem like it will last. If I use 1/2" Plywood as the core, and this is a fiberglass river boat, what would you skin it with? 1708? Polyvinyl or Epoxy or ???... and then paint of some sort? I can put up some pix on my Guugle drive

I'm making a Halloween prop cauldron and I am going to use polyester resin with 4inch biaxial tape and chopped strand mat over the top of a PVC yoga ball as a form. I will be using a wax release on the ball. Any advice for a newbie and I've never worked with fiberglass... I hope I don't burn the yoga ball before I have my shape. Hi Andy! Ryan here again. Love the idea of getting people involved. I have a pretty intensive project of my own. Probably too big for this type of series. I’ve heard that you say you do consulting work, but how do I submit a request for that? I just need some advise on starting to building a pilot house, and removing the deck. Thanks! Hope the shoulder is doing good. I’m 2 months into my recovery of shoulder surgery I had in December. It goes by faster than we think. Thanks! Love the Chanel. Always look forward to new videos!!

    Brilliant idea 💡
one thing is you need to get written permission to use people's video and possibly for them to not make it public or there might be copyright issues.. also not liable for any payment or damages etc.
I'll be filming my question soon...
Some video's to do in your workshop..
    Safety and layout etc..
    Tool's..
    Technique's..
    Maintenance..
    Sharpening..
Electrics.. (carbon fibre no power tools..💥🤬)
btw ... a tennis ball or pipe insulation on the corners and edges of the air filter box 🤕

I thought that given your facilities and equipment maybe you could have people actually bring their boat to you and you could teach and record while they do the learning and work. Maybe turn the mezzanine into an apartment and you'd have a residential school/shop that you could run well into your golden years.
