I stayed there a LONG time ago and it's not even recognisable - it looks good but a bit clinical, but for a one night pre holiday stay, absolutely ideal - and I guess the less decor, the easier to clean, quicker the turnarounds, and the more value for money...outside of peak peakness. Looking forward to following the vlogs -
Do like Hilton -you always know what you’re getting and it’s so dependable. Hotels have become incredibly expensive in North America. That price seems reasonable to us.
Have a great holiday looking forward to seeing the vlogs, we stayed there last year and will be again next Sunday, we’ll be in a family room great to have proper beds for kids (as my son is 15 and 6ft 2 )
Of course, (1:40) - I would EXPECT you to have an iced coffee in the morning on your travels. And, (11:10) I know how "lids" as a food style name came about - from my Spanish trips with the school!. Happy Holidays their sir! Cheers :)
great vlog Jamie - enjoyed the packing one too - but can’t help wondering where your extra suitcase is to store your night-time snacks for a 2 week cruise??!
I spent my honeymoon night at that very hotel, it was a bit different then ! More brown and orange but it was the eighties. Interested in where you parked at the North Terminal, did you say short stay and if you did, was it very expensive?
@4:45 There is no light in the wardrobe as the hotel is geared to the 'corporate set' (aka boring and no designer-wear). A wardrobe 'shame-hole' as it were. Channeling Patsy Stone and Edina Monsoon.
The Hilton looks good but I certainly wouldn't stay for the price. Plus that wardrobe was way too dark inside. The beds my other half would be in heaven and likewise for the bath as he loves a bath. He would be at Lush buying bath bombs to use in the bath.
@TravelBlogJamie I totally understand. The Hilton looked brilliant and the room looked good too. I think it was just the price for the night that got me. I'm that use to stopping in Premier Inns. But definitely as you sayed with it being school holiday time in England it is more expensive, but I suppose if outside the school holidays it will be cheaper which is when I would more than likely stay there.
Our summer adventures and the next chapter in my life begin right here! ❤
Corporate in all manners Jamie.... £14 for a 250ml of Merlot?!!

Yes, had a makeover! North terminal short stay as it was much cheaper than south!
Bloody hell - you should get a discount as a teacher during school holidays! 😂

Looks nice enough but honestly, crazy prices. Give me a clean bed and approximately nothing else and charge me £30 a night and I'm happy.
Alas nothing in that price range at all
@@TravelBlogJamie I know! Don't understand why, there's got to be a business case for it

But where else would you have stayed?! We had to stay as we had to check in early

@@Alanw80 yes you’re correct Alan - much cheaper outside of this window (thankfully!)
