Good review. The detail of expressions was something I picked up on as well. I noticed the Mark Wheatley Nucleus X package behind you. I supported that Kickstarter as well. he ran another Kickstarter issuing some of the artwork as prints, I purchased the Howard pack with two Conan and one Solomon Kane prints. Hope to receive those early in the new year.
Cheers for the review. I really did enjoy the story as well. The art style really threw back to the 1970s run of SSoC. Concerning the cover, my head canon likes to believe that the dinosaur scene is an analogy of the scene where Conan saves the sorceress. As in, snatched her from the jaws of oblivion. I know, I know. That's hardly what they are thinking. But that's how i'm gonna square the circle! :P
Great review Todd! The detail of Geof Isherwood's work was something else, making the issue so re-readable. It just felt so right, Loved it. Almost a perfect issue.

I did not enjoy the main story as much as you but Isherwood's art was absolutely beautiful. I liked the backup stories more, short and punchy.
