When I played Yume nikki for the first time, the thing that I liked more was that feeling that everyday i'll find a new area that i've never saw before, and ones that I certainly will not see again (without a walkthough). I think that the vastness and the huge number of areas in this game are for intensify this feeling.
Ya know, for a long time I've sorta wondered why people like 2kki so much (not to say it's bad, but it's never been my favorite fangame or anything), and I think you just helped me figure out why people like it so much, and I thank ya for that! It makes a lot more sense now.
@@AShriekingCloudOfBats it's just like a real dream world. Each day you'll have new dreams, and sometimes even rehave the same dreams by mistake. It's a neverending journey
Years later I'm still so sad this area was removed. All of watarus maps were great, but this one was always my favorite. I don't know how they managed to make an area so special
@@sunnyflorist a while ago wataru requested all their maps to be removed from future builds of the game. Due to popularity though, older versions that include all their maps are still available and can be downloaded. So yes, you can still play them, but only on older versions of 2kki.
These areas are so cool, it's such a shame that they're so hidden deep. the game is so big that if i weren't to use the wiki for reference and stuff i bet i could never find these
How do you keep track of where you need to go in order to find the new content that has been released? Also, can you just copy saved games from one version to another?
Partially it's just memory, but I do have to go back through the videos and double check stuff sometimes, knowing the names of various areas helps with that, and naming the videos well helps with searching for them! With that said, there have definitely been times where I'm not sure if I'm rerecording an area or event, but as far as I'm aware it's never been an issue! And I thiiiiink so? Make a copy of the file first, but I'm pretty sure just copying the file over works. For some reason I feel like you might have to deposit all your effects in the one room with the pedestals first and get them again, but I could be wrong/that might be a safety precaution, so you might try that too if you have issues.

removed? I've never played yume 2kki does that mean I'll never be able to play this part of the game?

@@dkk2753 oh :(, I understand, do you know which versions have this map?
they're back

Yeah, definitely! It's sort've the flaw of 2kki, there's so much stuff that it's hard to keep track of things.
Abandoned apartments: sad
Yume nikki: lets ride a bike here
It is getting BACK
yeah I just heard that! Good news.
I keep coming back to this video for the apartments music, it's really nice.
Wataru does good work!
This has very unsettling atmosphere.
I miss this event so much...
Rip Wataru Sector
let it be known I am going to finish the last few maps of it before we move on though, as a small consolation
So beautiful!!
