I can only think of what my father once said when regarding pedos and how other criminals would deal with them: "Even hardcore criminals have principles."
I've always seen it as one of 2 most likely reasons why pdf files are so hated among criminals (besides what you stated, which is also true): 1. Many criminals have children of their own. While they may have legitimately committed the crimes they did for various reasons, that doesn't necessarily negate their love/care for their children. The thought of someone doing THAT to a child who might be the same age as their children is probably pretty enraging. 2. Many of those that hate pedos the most may also have been victims of CSA themselves and might even view attacking other pedos as a means to get back at the ones who hurt them.

It's true, the inner condition doesn't change for most of them. The capacity to externally act on impulse (commit actual crimes) can change over time though. Also, some paedophiles are more to do with arrested development - so they're emotional/attraction circuits are simply way behind their actual age. They're at their most dangerous in their 20's before they slowly begin to change their tastes when they get to middle age. But some of them are locked in for life with these desires. Those of them who have a conscience never act on it fortunately but sadly some will always be a threat.

The thing about Dexter was yes he was a serial killer, but he only went for other serial killers who happen to slip through the cracks or the police haven't caught yet. Dexter never went for innocent people or for people who didn't deserve it. Also Dexter always went above and beyond to protect the ones he loved and cared about so when he caught a child predator stalking his girlfriends daughter, his fate was sealed right then and there. Dexter would have never stopped hunting him down
Very true. Dexter's code was a huge part of why, when his previous victims' remains were discovered and the search for the Bay Harbor Butcher began, there were plenty of people even within the story who viewed the Bay Harbor Butcher as a sort of anti-hero (because even the police noted that all victims were people who had previously been accused of/heavily suspected of committing heinous crimes, often including murders). It's also what's made Dexter a very compelling character. He's hard to categorize. On the one hand, he IS serial killer who very much enjoys killing (which is the primary reason he does what he does. Taking out people who get away with heinous crimes is kind of secondary/a bonus). But on the other hand, he rigidly follows the code his father taught him, and his code of only attacking people who have killed/committed terrible crimes is something of a justification for him. On top of that, he's not without heart. He cares for Rita (even if she and her kids were originally just a cover for him to appear normal, he does truly care for them and is protective of them). And in Rita's case, it's sort of ironic, because she originally was with a horribly abusive drug addict, so you'd think her ending up with her second husband being a serial killer would just be a "from bad to worse" situation, but nope. He's genuinely protective of her, Astor and Cody, and Harrison. He also does care about Deb and is protective of her, too (to the point where he chooses her, his adoptive sibling, over his biological brother). And much like other anti-hero type characters like the Punisher, Dexter very much disdains anyone trying to emulate him. If anything, copycats have just as much a chance of ending up on his table as any of his other victims. There's even an entire season where his main focus is actively helping another person (whom he'd accidentally rescued from being another victim of a different killer) get revenge for what was done to her (season 5. Which wasn't as top tier fire as season 4, but honestly was still a great season imo). Many shows/stories rely on the world's they create or ensemble casts, but Dexter was kinda unique in that the lead character was/is truly something you don't see often and (while many other characters are memorable in their own right... Doakes just needs a "surprise, muthaf--ka!" and we all start quoting that one series of vines 😂) he was the main draw to the show.
Michael C Hall is the master of the quietly menacing look and voice. He was brilliant in Six Feet Under, too. He had cause to do a similar look and voice in that when he was dealing with a hostile takeover of the funeral home. Really must watch that series again!
Fun fact: Michael C. Hall and the actress that played Deb in the series were actually married irl (I believe they'd split up by the time they started working on Dexter, though).
"we are what we are" ❤ That's what I told my bff's exgirlfriend because she loved to manipulate my friend, making her so insecure, until one day I talked to her. I told her to stop or I will make her stop, she told me I was being weird and overprotective... I told her, "I know what you're doing 'cause I've done it so many times with so many people, if you ask they'll tell I am the worst for them, except my bff, she's the only person I really care about, so stop or the last face you'll see would be mine". And, yeah, she stopped, she left my bff alone.
I still see Dexter in Micheal C. Hall's acting though it is a different movie/ series hahahah!!!! He is so great in Dexter! The sudden change of facial expression! Wholesome to serial killer... His eyes tells it all.

It's not just me but, society has deemed that once a person has completed their sentence, they are considered to have paid their debt to society and they are released and freed back into public. That person has been forgiven in the eyes of the law. There is no instance where the abuse of innocent children or animals can be forgiven. If you abuse a child there is no amount of debt you can pay in order to be forgiven. There is no excuse for child abuse. Same thing with people who abuse animals, there is no excuse.

"I paid the price". SMH. The world has a big problem. Most of these ppl do NOT change. They change only as far as their opportunity allows. Hence the need for more serious punishment like taking a hand in addition to prison time. If they repeat, take a leg.
I'm usually for reformative justice overall, but when it comes to THOSE types, I'm inclined to agree with you. I was watching a video recently about some new crap with EDP445 and I recently realized that the various lines he spews about "getting help" are so repetitive because he's learned that saying those things to people like his family works and let's him continue to get away with his disgusting behavior (thankfully, the internet populace as a whole isn't willing to give him a pass, so he's still banned from most sm platforms. I do still get a giggle at Moistcritical's theory that EDP will try to use whatever he can to make a platform: like he'll be out there trying to use the xbox 360 and an old kinect to livestream Uno games or something 😂). What struck me about that is that it's so common with those types of criminal abusers: they always seem to know just what to say to get those around them to forgive them and see their actions as a "mistake" rather than as a pattern of behavior. Sadly, it usually works (until they hit the legal system. Thankfully, crimes like that do carry heavy sentences when fully convicted for them. Unfortunately, there are those that get good lawyers and lighter sentences for it). I feel like that's part of how they never change. They just learn how to manipulate their victims and bystanders better. Learn exactly what to say to sound sympathetic, but at their core, they still will try to do what they want to, given the oppertunity. "We are what we are", indeed.
The look on Dexter’s face when the guy said I’ve changed was all the verbal confirmation he needed because he knows.. you don’t change. Dang I need to go back to watching it.

He was immensely creepy in Gamer
From Six Feet under to Dexter. This man is amazing!!!
Oh jes my best Monster 👿
In six feet under I believed that he is gay 😂
Fun fact: Michael C. Hall and the actress that played Deb in the series were actually married irl (I believe they'd split up by the time they started working on Dexter, though).
Those kind of people cannot change. We are who we are.
True❤
Thank you for repeating what he just said
I love MCH acting. I’m surprised he’s not in a lot of movies. So underrated!
"we are what we are" ❤
That's what I told my bff's exgirlfriend because she loved to manipulate my friend, making her so insecure, until one day I talked to her. And, yeah, she stopped, she left my bff alone.
wow
This makes me afraid of women
So you did the same to other people? Then you're as bad as her
This is the first peace of content I ever watched about Dexter and having watched more tiktoks about him makes this so much more enjoyable

@@thedefinitivecure9298 well as long as you're aware of it and see the hypocrisy I give you credit. Most people have a degree of cognitive dissonance
So you can forgive homicide? Good to know that you dont hold any power on society to decide whats right or wrong.
@@aegismalkav8057 Even though I never said homicide can be forgiven, in some instances, yes, it can be forgiven.

Pedophilia is a growing problem in our country now,. That's why child sex trafficking is so prevalent.
