- Dozens of countries and organisations are trying to delay the International Criminal Court from issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The court's prosecutor has requested warrants for Netanyahu, his defence minister, and Hamas leaders for alleged war crimes in Gaza.

The arrest warrants haven't yet been issued. So not even South Africa or Spain would have arrested him, had he visited those countries this week. Besides, the US would not be obligated to arrest him even if an arrest warrant had already been issued. That's because the US is not an ICC member state.

I am German and in my opinion the only place Netanyahu should be is prison. All the congress members that gave him standing ovations when Netanyahu stood before them, and UK and German leaders preventing the carnage in Gaza to end should be there as well. Palestine is a signatory to the ICC, and, therefore war crimes or crimes against humanity committed by Israelis in the Palestinian territories fall under the ICC's jurisdiction. It is also why the members of Hamas can be tried for the same, even though Israel isn't an ICC signatory.

As already specified the ICC (not the ICJ) members have been sanctioned and threatened by the USA.

GERMANY IS MESSED UP
Technically any police department can arrest him and then transfer him to the ICC custody. Any warrants are arrestable by any police department. This means if I was a cop here in the US and I saw Netanyahu, I could arrest him and transfer him to the ICC. This would be a lawful arrest. The US, Germany and England need to lead.

Not really .. The US is not an ICC member state. Only ICC member states (such as the Germany and the UK) are obligated by the Rome Statute to arrest war criminals for whom the ICC has issued arrest warrants.

International law is a powerless.... International can just request like weak and poor person in front of Israel and USA and UK to give respect of international law ..
I think in large part that they don't want to risk any cascading effect where their leaders are held responsible for aiding and abetting war criminals. Having traded military equipment (Germany's defence at the ICJ) or supplied weaponry that has clearly been used on majority civilian targets, there is some chance that an _impartial_ ICC would issue arrest warrants for their leaders in the future (including in future conflicts), and they don't want to risk the effects of that on their diplomatic standing. But I don't see why the ICC should care what the US thinks; it's not even a signatory to its legislation, and has arrange with about 100 countries not to arrest each other's citizens for trial at the ICC.
