Don't forget! Skins are no longer locked to bundles! Any skin that's in the shop can also be found in the hero gallery. That goes for the new Sigma and Lifeweaver skins.

Season 9 is 30.39 GB, that's huge. It's about the same as downloading an entire game.

They have a blog post about this, in order to keep the game size small they did a rebase patch instead of rolling patches. though i think this only affects consoles.

Unfortunately I don’t have time to finish battle passes anymore.. already lost 20 bucks on 2 and literally couldn’t finish them. Honestly you should be able to finish a battle pass whenever you want.

They have added so many events recently that it is quite easy nowadays but yea, it should be kept accessable since you already paid
how could you not? you could bang out the dailies in like, one comp game, 2-3 QP games. the weeklies get done as well if you play daily. you could also just-not spend for the prenium track until you finish it/before the season ends and unlock all the premium tracks

They should put a lootbox every 20 ranks that has skins in it. i miss opening them.
If you haven't already, look at the Ramen Bastion and Kraken Torb equipment. Bastion's ult turns him into a giant onion, and Torb's turret watches you die.

The Moira skin is how the Priest from WoW works. Shadow for dps and holy/disc for healing.

I know this might sound stupid but why do I feel like the movement is smoother after the update? I'm a Moira main and just tried out a couple of games and it felt like I was on rollerblades. Not complaining because it felt good and I don't know if that's just in my head. Probably.

anyone else noticed there is 1 legendary skin less in the battle pass then previous seasons without a new hero. In the trailer they said the sigma skin was battle pass but they've put it in the ultimate bundle. I think to make this bundle as expensive as possible, just feels I'm gettin less with the same amount of money :(
This bundle was always 40$. And now you also getting MORE for that amount of money.
Let me remind you. In season 1-3 ultimate bundle contained 1 legendary skin, BP and 2K coins. There was also an exclusive epic skin in the bundle with 1K coins (can’t remember now it’s price in $). In seasons 4-8 that epic skin was included in the Ultimate bundle, so you got BP, 2K coins and 2 skins (leg and epic). So now we’re getting even 2 legendary skins, with other items 😊
And even more. In season 7 there were 5 legendary and 4 epic skins in BP but no new hero. In season 8 there were 5 legendary and 3 epic skins. Season 9 BP also has 5 legendary and 3 epic skins. So I don’t really know what are you talking about…
I just wish there was a map. Not having either is a biiit bland

Nope, it's bloat. Theyre items that cost little dev time that's used to fill out battles passes so they dont have to waste money paying VA for voice lines, or animators for intros, poses etc.
you can use them if you don't have any emotes for a specific character.

Did I miss something? They had sigma skin in the trailer as a battle pass skin, but now its a shop skin. Did they remove his skin from the battle pass and put the skin in the boundle to make it look more "value" worthy.
You can skip the bundle if you don't have the 40, it allows you to buy it on its own in the hero gallery other players have said

Still no premium currency in the battlepass. Still garbage. I wouldnt even mind if they placed it at the very end, with all of the titles. It would be annoying, but weeklies with dimnishing returns makes me feel so demotivated.
In fortnite, I buy the battlepass, then so long as I play the hell out of the game, I can get the next battlepass and then some. If I find myself $5 short of V-bucks, its a lot easier to justify a purchase than when I'm potentially $10 in the hole from the battle pass and have no virtual currency or if what little I have will need to be spent on a battlepass in a future season in order to actually play the hero.
Literally the battlepass is the only thing worth buying because the value of actually playing is so low. I may get a dozen new skins, but getting the skins for characters I like means shelling out $20+ that could better be spent on two hero seasons of the battle pass.
Literally the cost-benefit analysis of the game based on its battlepass encourages me not to engage with the shop. I'm out of premium currency for the battlepass from the amount I got at the start. Clearly the story team has been basically shut down. I wanted to play the seperate nodes but needing to shell out more cash (not premium currency) for the story mode makes it an even harder justification.
Every purchase just struggles to justify itself. Yes the skins and emotes are pretty good, but for the price of one dva skin that I can only wear as dva, I can get 2 seasons of Fortnite's battlepass which will net me something like 3000 vbucks which I oculd use to purchase 3 good quality fortnite skins or emotes or songs that I can use in every single game of fortnite.
And even then, I can still justify spending money on fortnite because the one-time price of $5-$10 on top if whatever vbucks I already have is so much easier to justify than spending $5-$10 to get a weapon charm that no one will ever notice because I can't even inspect ny own weapon.
I love Overwatch to death, but in 2024, I would somehow rather play Fortnite than Overwatch.

To give context: I've played Overwatch since the December after release. I have 2355 hours in Overwatch. I only started to play Fortnite ~2 months ago, and I'm stunned at how good the battle pass is. I played the notoriously stingy Square Enix Kingdom Hearts Gacha game and even at its worst, it was still better at rewarding f2p than Overwatch.
Might be the first season where I dont really like anything from the battlepass
The patch notes are crazy tho so I guess that makes up for it

You weren’t kidding about some people not being able to play the game at all…I just got banned for 4 hours.
Played it for two hours, gutted hanzo, Uninstalled. Gutted my boy twice, scatter(the most unique ability) for spam arrow(the least creative ability) but at least he was a sniper. Now he's not even that. I finally got the McCree treatment, feels good to uninstal this dead game.

After 8 seasons I almost have enough premium currency (~850) to buy a battle pass without having to purchase new coins....yay...But agree, much better BP than previous ones
The content seems a bit better, but I was really hoping they would've actually changed some things up and added at least some premium currency to either the premium or free battle pass. I always feel like I have to save my coins for the battle pass to the point where the rest of the store is just ridiculously overpriced albeit well-designed nonsense.

As a moira main the lilith skin is good but this ancient caller skin is dope too, itll match nicely with my other spooky themed skins. Moira deserves more than 1 or 2 amazing skins
It feels like half of this stuff was made for the Halloween season, like a few seasons later it'd be difficult to remember which stuff came with this season and which one - with the Halloween one. Oh, and we had the space theme in, what, season 4.
