I once called the Chinese PT-76 light tank one of the worst tanks in War Thunder. Gaijin apparently feels the same way, as it's being removed and replaced with Object 211, a new vehicle added with update La Royale.

If you have been through grief cycles for as many times as he may have, your reaction will be the same. My friend who had 700 hours in the game usually gets to the phase ii, which is anger, in about 20 mins into the game. For me however, I simply skipped past to the last phase, which is acceptance, after playing only ground RB for almost 1000 hours. The only reaction you can get from me playing WarThunder is just "Meh, okay"

If you want terrible turret travers, try playing the M10.
Started German it's fun playing things with about 5 degrees of traverse, not mention stock gunner targeting is the best

I love the m10 I just play it like a casemate maybe angling the tank in a dire situation but outside of that the turret traverse isn’t really a problem for me

Funny experience i have when using a PT-76 and several of its variant, is that i go in expecting to die a lot, only to come out carrying the team on my back
The first battle after I unlocked heat in the Chinese pt-76 is still one of the best games I've ever had. I don't know why fate has dragged me to such shit vehicles.
A PT-76 variant potentially has a very op upgrade if added into the game.
The original turret were replaced with John Cockerill LCTS 90MP turret, armed with Cockerill Mk 3M-A2 90 mm gun and equipped with autoloader.The upgrades also includes ability to launch a 550mm pen tandem warhead ATGM, A new Cummins VT400 diesel engine and Allison transmission, HARD KILL APS, Laser Range finder, and a stabilizer.
Thankfully these are just proposed upgrades for Indonesian PT-76s but if Indonesia does buy them and War thunder adds it, Lord have mercy.
Having it in 9.3 should make it unplayable

We have better already since 1997 in the form of ZTS-63A: 20 tonnes; welded turret; 105mm rifled gun; 2 plane stabilized; APFSDS, ATGM, HESH, HEAT, HE; laser range finder; thermals; 580hp diesel (24hp/tonne); 75km/h land, 28km/h water.
Then there's the further upgrades in the form of ZBD-05 & ZTD-05 from 2005 onward.
@@kurosumomo The ZTD-05 would be great to see in WT, some proper vehicle variation in the Chinese tech tree would be very nice. But correct me if I am wrong here, doesn't it have the exact same turret as the ZLT11? Or are they just very similar?

Usually it is even worse than nothing as it typically won't stop shrapnel but if the penetrating round hits it too it'll make even more!

it does not actually work as intended, the shell just gets volumetric'd inside the tank
You'd be surprised how many times the internal armour saved me from frontal shots.
@@szucsadam3162 sometimes it works. but those cromwell/comet based tanks are absolutely awful and unplayable. the comet, and avenger should be not higher than 4.0 and the challenger maybe 4.3

Hey Spook, you should play the Semovente 75/46 M43. It's a deeply overshadowed italian tank destroyer which can deliver an heavy punch but it's deeply ignored the potential it has.

fun fact: scouting now also tells you the range of enemy vehicles. No need to spend time rangefinding if you don't have an LRF.

Nope. Not supposed to have a stabilizer. It's just one of the later prototypes of the Type 63 that simply lacked a few features. Good to see it, however, it's certainly a shame that Gaijin didn't go with the more unique and earlier prototype fitted with a 76.2mm gun, derived from the ZiS-3, that was apparently autoloaded. Really stupid that they removed the PT-76 though. Just drop it down to 4.7, give it APHE stock, and boom. Not like we don't have other HEATFS slingers at, or even lower than, that BR.
Gaijin could really add some Chinese IFVs like the ZBD-04 or type 86 or ZSL-92/B (I'm a China main)
Yeah, water seems to be very aggressive with everything the past few updates, a nice example are also the Patrol Boats bouncing around like they're in the middle of the heaviest storm while sitting in 5 inches of calm water in that Vietnam map.
The beginning is definitely me lol, I love China 8.7 and the ZBD04 would fit in perfectly there

Hey Spook, you should try the italian medium Celere Sahariano, its really fast and people have no idea what you are, so they often shoot the higher top plate which is pretty well armoured

The left for dead mystic at 1:32 gave me ptsd from every time there was a witch cause i would hear that any time there was a witch.
So its basically just a type 63-I but the engine is significantly worse. And jr doesnt seem to have heat-fs unless you just never carried any.
Speaking of, the 63-I is very fun to play. Exact same as what youre playing just the actual mobility is significantly improved.
Though the type 62 is really fun just nobody ever plays it mostly because i think its the only 6.7 in the chinese tree. But its a very fun light tank.
Please do a video on game modes. I honestly think the game needs new modes or overhauls to current ones. Especially for pve/co-op.
Always find myself torn from these videos, on one hand I want to root you on but on the other I feel you're a good enough player that you don't need it so I start rooting for your enemies, either way it's always a good video.

I bring it to 5.7 with my T-34s and it does well there too, even in uptiers
The gun is the same even in the 6.7 (just without heat, that I honestly never use because aphe is broken) so it will do somewhat fine, or as fine as the 6.3 Type 63-I
you should play the chinese Type 62 (or russian) cuz i think its a neat light tank at 6.7

Yeah, I'm currently going up the British tree and at 4.7, the Achilles is still perfectly useable. A 17pdr makes up for a lot of sins (unless it is the Archer).

Hey spook, so recently, since the update, the SABOT shot seems to not work very well, primarily bmps, but my shots will sometimes bounce of the front. Even with a carefully place shot, i still bounce. Ill also see the round shoot straight through the tank, while doing no damage

Wait if the Chinese PT-76 is getting removed entirely is it going to be like what happened to the Swedish premium light they had a while back that got a "upgrade" or is it going to turn out like what happened to the German paper tanks and the Maus?
It will be like maus, panther 2, tiger 2 105 etc, won't be researchable anymore but anyone who had it before it being removed still gets it.
