I have enjoyed Victoria falls with little water just as I enjoy it with much water. Some little falls around the world that attract many tourists don’t even have the water that we have there now. Thanks
@Traveltainment how do you manage, food storage, cooking etc. And how can a country be productive with no reliable power surely industry can't be sustained. I wish you well and let's hope Zambia finds a solution to its energy crisis. Here in the UK vast amount of our energy is from renewable sources ie wind, solar but a lot of that was not due to energy crisis, more for environmental reasons. Zambia blessed with is sunshine must take advantage of the most reliable energy source there is, especially with the unreliable rains and weather patterns. Sorry to go on, just wish they had invested in such things 25 years ago.
Terrible to hear of 20 hrs of load shedding. I didn’t experience 20 hours of load shedding when I went there but there was load shedding everywhere. Still, the people have found ways to best the load shedding & are surviving. Now, does it mean that some of our Victoria falls water is diverted during the dry season?
An average person can't afford full house hold solar which costs around 3700 dollars 💵.It's hard because it's a new thing in Zambia.we are used to Hydro power. Now climate change has affected that source of energy. How ever I feel it's a Temporal situation may be government will soon come up with more sources of alternative sources of energy,But is you live outside the grid 3700 dollars solar energy will be good for a house hold.
@Traveltainment what about smaller units such as a solar power station that would just be for charging cell and laptop? Are those able to be purchased locally? Also what about internet? Is MiFi or Starlink an option as an alternative during outages?
Yes those are now available as well.like I said people never used to buy them because we are used used to the cheapest electricity tarrigs in our region.now that's when we are waking up

In Zimbabwe they are hiding that they is such a thing, they can even arrest you.
Do people have solar generators if they can afford them?
Are those easy to obtain? Wondering how I can continue working if I come to live there.
