    Blowtorch and Lady Jaye were my favorite GI Joes as a kid. I hope we get Blowtorch someday.

    My destro and gung ho came minty in boxes from Walmart and pulse is sending lady jaye soon but I cancelled baronesses since they re-relased the coil cycle pack.

    I like your reviews. I just bought her a few weeks ago at Walmart.

    I guess I got lucky. I got a Baroness and Destro and both of them were shipped in boxes and the cards were mint. Which made it hard to open them but I did. I've got Gung Ho coming, so we'll see how he shows up.

      No sir and they aren't going to because the retro card back line is coming to an end after Storm shadow and zartan.n but you can pre-order tiger force Duke and ram cycle at Target if it says sold out all you have to do is keep checking back and you'll eventually see it available because target loves to cancel preorders and more become available, I've found the best time/ method is try sitting there a refreshing the page for about an hour around 7-8 am and pm but I got the sold out target exclusive obi wan Kenobi the other day around 4 pm but if you're patient you'll get it. Hasbro pulse is sold out but sometimes they restock and preorder stuff on Fridays around 11- noon so you have a chance there too. If you want the original duke you can get him if you have any vintage toy stores or GameStop gammer's alley type places because tons of collectors are selling their collections because the plastic free thing, I got mine at gamers alley not long ago and I see pre re-deco scarlet at GameStops. If you are near NC I have two pre-orders for the tiger force Duke at pulse I can sell you one if you're unable to aquire a pre-order but I know you can if you try often and be patient.

    Great entertaining reviews for the retro line. I’m not sure I’ll get this one, if I could even find it at a fair price at the late stage. What I wish they’d have done with the classified is to include the head sculpt alternatives for these like they’re doing with the super 7 lines, rather than the removable hair hood or hat combos they’re doing with the classified line

    Love the figures. But they made the cards very cheap. Im collecting marvel 375 and transformers reaction. Ordered a transformers reaction from target and they stuffed it in a narrow box bending the card. I saw it and WTF

    This Lady Jaye looks better than the classified series. If I wasn't a big fan of Lady Jaye I wouldn't have bought the classified series Lady Jaye.

    l'm not a customizer but I'm considering getting this LJ and swapping the legs with the other to give her two tones of green the way she looked in the cartoon.

    I saw some other reviews on some of the GI Joe Retro figures and a lot of times their packages are beat up too. That's a shame because the packaging they have for the retro figures looks so nice. They should have used the harder card backs for them.

    Kyle you are being too nice to Walmart…No figured should be shipped in a baggie. At the very least in a box!….Totally agree on the stands Hasbro should sell some packs.

      I don’t think I am, I am being realistic. Where do you draw the line what gets shipped and how? It takes Hasbro in this case to defend and champion the product and tell Walmart how. We can’t expect Walmart to be an expert on millions of products. I know from my days working for Kraft foods WE Kraft had to communicate to the store on Kraft singles for instance how these were to be merchandised etc.

    How should Hasbro need to explain to Walmart how to ship an item? Amazon (mostly) ships in boxes for figures (even non-exclusives), Target (mostly) ships in boxes (even non-exclusives). BBTS ships in boxes. Ent Earth ships in boxes. Just about any online company I can name ships figures in boxes. But Walmart somehow needs another company to explain to them that shipping an item in a bag means it will potentially (absolutely guarantee) it will get damaged? OK.

    • @KylePeterson1980
      @KylePeterson1980  2 роки тому

      BBTS is collector driven, ent earth collector driven. Amazon depends on your distribution center same as Walmart. I get most things from Walmart in boxes. In the grand scheme of things Walmart is bigger than all those companies combined and is as far removed from being a collector company like BBTS and ent earth. Way more things in the toy aisle is non collector where do you draw the line? A company like Hasbro should tell Walmart that hey this G.I. Joe is collector driven make sure it’s in a better package than say fisher price little people

      @@KylePeterson1980 To me, I don't care if a toy is "collector-driven" or something that kids buy, it should arrive in the same condition it left the distribution center. As a seller on EBay, even inexpensive items that people probably don't care much about, I pack them with care & the idea that it reaches the end user in the same condition it left my hands. Seems weird to give one of the biggest corporations in the universe a pass & blame it on the company manufacturing the toy instead, especially considering how insanely profitable Walmart is. It's not like they *need* to send them in bags to maintain profitability. They are being cheap, & anyone giving them a pass for it is contributing to them continuing to take zero care in shipping.

    • @KylePeterson1980
      @KylePeterson1980  2 роки тому

      @@skullgame working for a major company myself I have many times over the years had to instruct Walmart how to handle items. Always follow the money more packing costs more money. Walmart recently told me that the figures are fine on the destroyed GIJOE cards I received. That is where a company like Hasbro comes in to tell them how to handle the item as you cannot assume in business. Saying someone should do something because they are profitable is a slippery slope

    • @skullgame
      @skullgame 2 роки тому

      @@KylePeterson1980 While I understand the logic of "more packaging costs more money", the idea that Walmart can't afford to spend a few more cents per package in materials (not shipping costs as you know Walmart & Amazon get insane breaks in USPS prices) is insane. They consciously made a decision that they do not care about taking care of any items they ship. That's fine. They are basically saying that an extra 10-15 cents in cardboard is worth them losing a $25 sale over (times 8 if you consider the 3 waves that have been announced). I guarantee Hasbro has different logic, as they show they actually care about the items they send out. One should not have to "instruct" Walmart. They know if they ship something in a bag it will get mangled. That is a risk/reward scenario & they don't think it's important enough to do right by their customers because they'd rather save a few cents.

    • @KylePeterson1980
      @KylePeterson1980  2 роки тому

      @@skullgame Why can’t Hasbro inform them how to ship with care? Many big companies do and I can speak firsthand at that as I’ve said. You keep forgetting how big Walmart is and how many items they sell you are painting with an awfully big brush. We are going to have to agree to disagree on this one.
