    You did a very good job of clearing the fallen trees. The next big storm will, most likely, take down the ones that are still standing by the pond. They look like they are in thin soil which is on top of the solid rocky base.

      Thanks Jimmy!...very shallow root base here on sandy soil does not fare well for trees with no tap roots...one thing we don't have here are rocks of any size 😉

      @@southernhomesteadtransformatio Thanks for the explanation! It looked to me like what happens up here in the North with trees that grow on rock. When we get a North Easterly squall coming in from Lake Huron, a lot of the trees come down.
