I'm in charge of Disaster response for my Church, and I teach emergency preparedness. I REALLY like your 1st Aid setup. My PROFESSIONAL opinion is that you have done an EXCELLENT job!

You have enough stuff there for a bug out bag! Really nice setup with good quality gear.

Nice bag! Suggestions: A canvas repair needle. Kevlar thread or paddle wire, fishing hooks. A limb saw (Northern hemisphere) machete (Southern hemisphere) Aluminum foil and some medicated cotton balls (Vicks Vaporub, Vaseline) can also be used as tinder.
Might as well start the paperwork for the sat-phone, if you haven't already, you know you want it. ;) Thumbs up.

Nice setup. You can paint your aluminum windscreen with Rustoleum high temperature paint. It seems strange that you have faraday bag protection for your solar charger, but not for any of you electronics. If they get zapped then really no need for charger.

How far do you think you'll be walking with this backpack? Do you think a hip belt is needed for a long hike?

I plan 20 miles or so. I'm a nurse working in a major hospital, I may not get out right away so I've packed heavy. The winters are cold with snow, in summer I might thin it down. I'm 6' 6" tall, this bag has a waist strap but its useless to me so its difficult to answer. If I had one I could use I would.

Nice bag, lots of quality gear. You should do an update video. Also, audio wasn’t the best

I really don't understand, your get home is 22 miles yet you have 3 meals, cooking kit and extra fuel that you think you will not need. i think if it truly is a get home bag, 22 miles keep it to water, trail mix/ bars, waterproof/clothes and walking socks & shoes . Do you really need knife sharpeners , fork & knife ,spatula , solar panel , etc if your bag is to get you home 22 miles i think you have a heavy bag if your bag serves other purposes then fair enough . You did ask for feedback so to sum up, a bit heavy for a 22 mile walk. I must say i love your falcon iii wolf gray .

Rob, Thanks for the feedback. Have you ever read the series "The Borrowed World" by Jim Horton? In his book he was stranded over 200 miles from home due to a business trip. I planed with that kind of scenario in mind, worst case kind of thing. However, I use this bag a lot around the farm or out camping and hunting. As far as your assessment goes I couldn't agree more, go light and fast. My best option would be to follow the example of my step daughter who runs marathons. Her plan is just that, light and fast and home in 4 hrs or less. I don't run marathons, 10k is usually my limit. My plan, thin this down to fit the mission, give away or stash the extra and hustle home. But for now it's a really fun bag to have and show off to friends and family. Thanks for watching.

Correction "The Borrowed World" is by Franklin Horton and Kevin Pierce. My mistake.

You may want to move that Sam splint out of your bag if you break your leg you probably can’t get to that

Get a better knife sharpener, those pull through sharpener are very bad on a blade. Get some small stones. Otherwise great videos!
