No matter who ends up being in the 2nd RB seat, it'll be interesting to see if the curse of being Max's teammate continues. It seems that almost anyone in that position has been gapped significantly (aside from Danny Ric for a while). Is it Max's ability, the car setup that he needs being that difficult for others, the combination or something else?
When Perez joined people would finally get to see if Max is that good or that Gasly and Albon were bad, considering checo is a known quality. We have the answer. Just not the answer a lot of people want to accept.
Sure. The Mclaren wasn't as dominant as Red Bull at the start of the season. But you know that if Max had the small advantage that Mclaren had he would make most of it every single race. Part of what makes the red bull so dominant is that Verstappen always makes optimal use of any pace advantage they have, even if small.
