- Zolochiv Castle is a defensive fortress built in the 17th century 🏰
Ramparts, bastions, bridges, ravelins - all designed by an unknown architect. Kings lived in Zolochiv Castle. The fortress protected the city from invaders.
For contemporaries, the Chinese Palace and the Grand Residential Palace have been preserved on the territory of the castle yard. Today, unique exhibits are open for viewing, including mysterious stones with encrypted inscriptions XIV - beg. XV century. And the Museum-Reserve "Zolochiv Castle" is a department of the Lviv Art Gallery and a monument of history and culture of national importance.
