The Truman Show is one of the most philosophically complex and highly engrossing Hollywood films. This film tells us the story of a salesman who has been living the life of a Reality Show, without his knowledge. This film reminds us of what's real and its effect on our lives. It's a masterpiece that should not be missed. Here, we tried to explain its story and philosophy.
More to add on philosophy I learned from the film is:
1) no matter how comfy a setup you give to humans with all facilities. One thing there is always craving for i.e freedom. They want life on their terms, good or bad.
2) And also a curious mind should always be our first nature, like Truman was always wondering what's out there in fiji, want to get out of this island etc. Manam gamanishtee into kids kooda chinnapudu, or mana chinnapudu we always wanted to go outside home. We lose that curious nature once we grow as adults
3) Embrace unpredictability to break the scripted society or system. Hero along with heroine out of island ki fiji ki car lo bayalderinappudu, all of a sudden showrunners ki zero idea on how to manipulate them. that's when he gets utmost clarity
