Was debating between Radial and Metron. Not enough videos and reviews out there for either of the revision models. This would have helped a lot. Got the Metron in the end for the looks and padded laptop sleeve. Also like the compression straps. Won't stand well like the Radial so a little bit of a fuss there and the front organizer pocket has a smaller opening. Might end up getting Radial too and switch between both packs based on needs. Great video btw.
I noticed that the pack straps attaching to the mesh airspeed panel had been adjusted (timemarks 0:49 and 1:01). I assume that Becky found her proper fit at the lower adjustment (1:01)? Thanks for the confirmation. Great videos, super helpful! :D
Hi Shaun, astute observation! What appear to be the straps in a "higher" position in earlier shots are the load lifters, which pull the pack closer to the body for better balance. Becky was indeed able to find her proper height and employ the load lifters for a great fit!
Thanks for the review! I would like yo know how confortable it really is for a woman's body and for long carrying, as well as if You would miss the compression straps when it is not fully loaded. How much does it weight? Thanks!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! The pack should be fine for most women, but it looks like the recommended torso size is 17"-22". You probably won't miss the compression straps, as the packs frame will provide it with some structure. Weight is 3.3 lbs
I was looking to buy similar one with 26 L. But looks like they have discontinued it. Same with Momentum series they discontinued. I strongly believe they are hiring crap people to design new bags like Apogee, Tropos, Metron, etc which are not not as good as Momentum or Radial series.
Hi! Thanks for the review. Do have a question about the side pockets. Would both of them (one with the zip open) hold a 0,5 to 1 liter bottle without falling out/digging into your body? I am highly debating this one or the tropos which does have them. They both have ups and downs for me. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for asking! The side panel pocket could hold a water bottle, but the zippered pocket is on an angle and a water bottle could be at risk of falling out. If side water bottle pockets are super important to you, we'd recommend the Tropos!
Possibly! It's generally considered a Commuter/Bike Pack, and measures 20.49" x 13.79" 11.82". If your travel gear would fit in there, that it should work!
Does this bag get small enough to fit under an airline seat if it's not too stuffed? Looking for pack that I can use day to day and be able to use as a personal item on planes. I'm sure the Metron would suit these purposes, but I'm tempted by the bigger capacity, ventilated back, and kickstand. I just worry that stuff might make this one too big for airlines
As with all air-carry, it is entirely up to your airline's discretion! Fully packed out it measures 20.49" x 13.79" 11.82", which might be too large for some seats. However you can underfill it to try to and compensate for the size. Before flying, we'd recommend checking with your airline using the measurements!
@@Enwild thanks a lot for the response and measurements! I guess what I meant to ask was if the bag can get smaller if it's not full. I worry a little that maybe the frame / kickstand would prevent the bag from compressing enough
Ah understood. You are correct that frame and kickstand will maintain the length and width dimensions. The only thing to really compress is the depth by underfilling. It won't really be able to get shorter or narrower, just flatter. Hope that helps!
We tend to not thinks so! Osprey makes a really high quality product and offers their all mighty guarantee in case something would happen to go wrong with a pack, so you are always covered just in case!
Hi, i'm looking at this pack for someone on the smaller side. Becky looks like she could be a similar bodytype, would she be ok sharing her bodyheight?
You do such a fabulous job with these videos. Thank you
Thank you for watching!
The best video for the bag so far
Thank you!
My Osprey Escapist 32 is DONE 😂😂😂😂 They don't make it anymore. This is going to be my new one. This video SEALED IT. Thank you do much
I've still got escapist 32, probably 18 years old, great bag. I'm getting radial tomorrow.

Nice video although I wish you'd put some stuff into the backpack to give us an idea of what can fit in it

Unfortunately, it's a heavy bag for everyday carry. 34L might be too much for many people who need a versatile everyday backpack.
Really like the look of this pack but have a 17in laptop 😔
Hi! Can you tell me please if the bag is waterproof (if I don't use the raincover), thanks!
Hi Tomas, the pack is not waterproof, though it does come with a Hi-Visibility Rain Cover Included
@@Enwild ok, thanks!

Can I use this backpack for 1 to 3 day travel?

I heard someone say the material of this bag is quite thin and could be ripped, is this true?

Is the Radial a replacement for the Nebula and Trophos?
Nope :) The Nebula and Tropos live on. All thee packs are in Osprey's line for 2020.

Becky is about 5' 6".
@@Enwild Thx for the quick reply!
