I kind of wish the video included Chris Martin's touching speech about BTS/Jin before they performed. But other than that such a beautiful performance and I'm going to miss Jin so much when he's in the military. And yep save up now because when BTS tour again as 7 those tickets are going to sell fast.

Actually, there are two separate videos with Chris's speech and introduction of Jen and then a video of just the performers but there is also a longer video that includes both the speech and the performance! You have to be intelligent enough to pick the right video!

Jin has one of those voices where you feel every bit of emotion.
Argentinian ARMY were chanting Kim Seokjin (JINS full name). The Astronaut is part of Coldplay’s album Music of the Spheres and their collab on My Universe, so yes the theme and sound are familiar. I agree it would have made the rxn perfect if you had also watched Chris Martin’s emotional introduction. That is the Estadio Monumental (River Plate Futbol stadium) in Buenos Aires with capacity of >70K💜 words are not enough to express how touching Jin’s farewell has been. He co-wrote this song w Coldplay. Most beautiful collaboration of love and respect ever.

Jin wrote this song to tell ARMY goodbye for now and tell us how much he loves us.
Storyline is that Jin crash-landed on earth and he found a home with the little girl who plays ARMY and was supposed to return to his planet. But when his ship finally came to take him, he decided to stay back for the people and the precious things he grew to love on earth. It's his goodbye for now as he leaves for military service. Jin along with Coldplay wrote and produced this song. This is a really special song to us🥺💜 this performance was so magical and emotional.
Great video. The speech Chris said before he introduced Jin was so touching. Love Coldplay for arranging for Jin to be there. It took Jin 40 hours to get there. He said it was worth it

It‘s so refreshing to hear Jin’s lower register as he‘s usually responsible for the crazy high notes! You can listen to another Jin‘s solo song Epiphany if you want to learn more about his vocal range. His live performance is mesmerising!💜
Not sure you knew this, but BTS as a group also did a collab with Coldplay called My Universe. The official MV is on Coldplay's channel, but there is an awesome Behind the Scenes on BangtanTV channel showing how Chris went to S. Korea during the pandemic to record the song with BTS. It shows them first meeting, how well they got along and how much respect both groups have for each other. Jin, I think, was the one who suggested that collab originally and now he and Chris Martin have an amazing friendship. Oh, and they Did perform this together Live at the AMA's last November, and also one one of the days at their concert in the U.S. as a finale to BTS' concert. They also met in New York and sang it together, more informally, back in September 2021 (when BTS was in NY to do their 3rd United Nations speech).

That little "robot" is a special stuffed astronaut named "Wootteo" that traveled on the plane with Jin from S. Korea. The introduction of Jin by Chris is very emotional and a lot of reactors played that first. It was actually taken on a fancam. Then they would switch to this video. You should watch it.
Also, you should react to the documentary of the making of the BTS/Coldplay collaboration "My Universe" and follow it up with the amazing official MV.

Two things: first, all four BTS vocalist have unique singing style and abilities. Jin always makes you feel the emotions to the song. He's also the one with the powerhouse belting sound out of the four. A vocal LIVE PERFORMANCE I would want you guys to check out is TRUTH UNTOLD.

This is one for the books 💜. What makes this crazier is that the crowd knew the song and it had been out for like less than a full day. Also @9:40 it sounds like they're chanting Kim Seokjin, which is Jin's full name.

I love that Chris learned to sing that verse in Korean and that Jin contributed to the lyrics. The run down the stage into that hug.... BEAUTIFUL.... PRICELESS ! Just heard what you said about the little stuffed thingy by the drums. Can't remember the name of it but Jin brought it as a gift for Chris. Instead of leaving it in his dressing room he very proudly put it where it is so everyone could see it. I think it was made just for this song.
Oh, you miss Chris' little speech about this collab and his introduction to Jin. It was so emotional and heartwarming. It's probably because of Chris' speech before his performance...he was actually holding back his tears in the last part where pictures seen in which Jin;s eyes were welling in tears and were posted online.
Thank you n thank you Coldplay for making it soo special for our dear Jin. Chris all smiles, guiding n ensuring Jin having his moment n the best time of his life before leaving for his military obligations. This is Coldplay concert n and Army knew about Jin's performing .. what a treat to the Army n what a way to say I love you n goodbye. So emotional n I cried buckets like everyone else. Jin looked great n gave an amaazingg performance. Sad n happy for him.

Btw, BTS's recent concert in Busan, SK @ the Asiad Main Stadium had intense fireworks + stage effects as well - and even a drone show featuring all the member's faces in starry formation (+ overflow outdoor concert viewing on big screen for around 12k ppl @ the beach, a festival, etc). Yup, BTS always goes big (and obviously, so did this ColdPlay hosted concert:)! As for the fireworks at BTS's Busan concert, it wasn't just for the 2030 Expo plug though, but also because it was BTS's final concert as a group until at least 2025...Jin did that just before he flew out to do this heart-tugging live performance with ColdPlay, as other BTS members set out on their solo projects/activities prior to their own upcoming enlistments (Suga is only 3 months younger than Jin). It's sad to see this day come, when our Jin will be leaving us for awhile - as all the members are in line to do. But we'll be waiting for them and willing all the members safety, continued good health and strength throughout this challenging (and frankly, terrifying) journey that they are given no choice but to accept. On that, it's a bummer, to say the least, that despite all that BTS has done to contribute profoundly to their country, spreading a greater understanding and appreciation of its culture, while also offering themselves as conduits for (inner)peace through their messages of self-love, healing, connectivity, against xenophobia and racism on a global scale...it kinda sucks that they are, nonetheless, given no choice but to put a pause on their pace, in their prime, and pivot toward enlistment. However, BTS members being who they are as individuals - each of good character, honorable, respectful, generous, brave - they will always give their best in everything they do, in spite of the pressures. It's just their way, it seems. BTS's ARMY, we have every reason to be proud of them.
Thanks for reacting to this beautifully memorable moment in music history, guys...we don't get to see too many moments like this these days. We all make a lot of reference to the greats of previous generations, but BTS are undoubtedly continuing to pave a path as among the greats, and we get to witness their individual and collective stories in real time. Yep, these lovable goofballs do all that...and they're far from done:)

I really try not to cry watching the MV but i can't stop my tears from falling watching this live performance.. JIN is my source of happiness, he's the funniest of them all that's why all of them wantsto be with him and play with him. I love his positive and very practical personality

Coldplay fans a lot of Coldplay friends are also BTS ARMY fans! Jen flu from court Jīn flew from Korea to Argentina which is about a 14-to-16-hour flight. He flew all the way from Korea just to perform this one song with Coldplay in Argentina! And you watched the wrong video there's a video includes the speech Chris gave about the friendship between Coldplay and BTS. End the story about the song the astronaut and his introduction of Jīn to the people in attendance at the concert.
En realidad Jin voló casi 40h para llegar a Argentina ya que no fue un viaje directo.
It was 40 hours. I can't imagine! Chris mentions it when they had the online conversation about Jin coming to Argentina to sing it at Coldplay's concert.
The shortest flight would be 27 hours but as long as 46 hours depending on the airline and connecting flights/layover time. That had to be exhausting!

The plush toy looking astronaut on stage is actually a gift from Jin to Chris and Coldplay, Wootteo. Jin brought it with him to his trip to Argentina from Korea upon Chris invitation to Jin to perform his new single in Coldplay's concert tour in Argentina and Jin performed it on the day of the official release of his song 😊.
There is a reason BTS are longtime fans of Coldplay. Look at that stadium. Coldplay sold out 7 nights at that stadium for this tour (60,000 seats per night), then added an 8th show which sold out. Then they added two more nights, and sold them out too. It doesn't need to be said that when the production seats were released after they announced Jin's appearance, they were gone in minutes.
The light show? Coldplay has been doing that at stadiums since 2011. They literally helped invent the technology, and co-own the patent for their radio-controlled lighted wrist bands that are handed out free at shows.
They probably inspired BTS to add bluetooth control to their own light sticks (in 2017). Coldplay have long been called "kings of the stadium," and BTS have clearly learned a lot from them. It's only natural for these two groups to come together. It was bound to happen, and it's so beautiful! In LA when BTS sang My Universe it was only Chris who made a surprise appearance. We are dreaming of seeing all of Coldplay and all of BTS together some day on a stage, when the members are finished with their military service.

that robot looking beside the drums is an astronaut plushie called wootteo. that's Jin's creation as promotion to The Astronaut. Jin gifted wootteo to all CP members if am not mistaken. And CP has been bringing wootteo in all their concerts sonce then. Chris and other members also have wootteo patches on their shirt or jackets.

Jin has been in the Korean army for 8 months now and is doing really well, they appreciate his physical fitness, his can-do attitude and his leadership skills.
