Thanks for watching!!
Also, let's not forget that Aladdin on Broadway is too incredible for words to describe :)
the Aladdin play at california adventures is a breath taker i love it!!!
Aladdin is by far my favorite Disney movie and Proud of Your Boy is such a great song!
So interesting how they brought back a ton of cut stuff from the original version of the movie (ex. "proud of your boy" and aladdin's friends) for the new broadway stage version of the story. I knew that the song was cut from the movie but didn't know about the three best friends until now!
Thank you Sarah for 'Down to Disness'. The videos are one of my all time favorites on UA-cam, and I always look forward to them. Once again you have done a brilliant job.
dreaming2fly Thank you!
These are some of favorites too!
I cracked up so much when you yelled 'Steve from Full House'! And Aladdin is actually my favorite Disney movie so I'm so glad you chose this movie for Down to Disness this month! And I would love to see either the Princess and the Frog or maybe Robin Hood? Whatever movie you choose, I'm sure it'll make for a great video. Love your videos! ^^
I'm so glad you were able to keep your channel !! You are amazing and I really enjoyed this video. I'm super excited for this series because I love learning facts that are deeper than just the movie itself! Thank you so much for your dedication Sarah and I can't wait to see you again tomorrow on thingamavlogs 💞 love you Sarah ! You're awesome 😘
Gabrielle Medina Thanks so much, Gabrielle! I'm honored to have you as a viewer and I hope I can keep making you smile with my videos.
Probably one of the few.....The Hunchback of Notre Dame is my favorite Disney film of all time. The music, the message, everything! I hope you do a video about that movie soon! Love your channel and your passion for Disney as well as the cuteness of your relationship with Leo!! Love you!! So happy I stumbled upon your channel! Forever a fan!
I'm so stoked about T-Mavlog's return!!! Thank you for moving on and throwing no on under the bus! You guys rock!!!! 😊👍👌👍👌👍
I can't believe you chose this as the next down to disness!! So far my last 2 suggestions have been done! This is my favorite movie from the Disney renaissance (well, Disney in general) and I think the next Down to Disness should be Sleeping Beauty
I love that you mentioned proud of your boy. It's one of my favorite Disney songs
I would love to see a Down to Disness on The Aristocats. 💜💜
I just wanted to say that the still of Jasmine you used is my absolute favorite frame of Jasmine in the entire movie! I don't know why, but I've always loved it!
I just discovered these videos and watched ALL the Down to Disness ones in one sitting (except Tarzan because I still haven't seen that but as soon as I do I'll be back). I LOVE this series a lot. It's fascinating and in a way, watching it is like reliving my childhood. I'd love to see one of these on "The Lion King".
My favourite Disney renaissance movie is definitely Beauty and the Beast
I just watched all of your Down to Disness videos and I've been watching you on Thingamavlogs. These videos re great. I love your relationship with Disney. It is pure love and you can see it on your face when you are talking about Disney. Its so honest and contageous. It makes me extremely happy that you have chosen to share this passion with others. I could say so much more but I'll save it for the day I get to meet you in person! haha! Someday. Thank you so much, Sarah. I really appreciate it.
Aladdin is one of my favorites! Also, after watching this, I now realize how much of the original concepts for the movie is now in the Broadway musical!
Yay you're back! I screamed when the alert came on my phone that your video had come up. Ha. Little mermaid was my fav during this time. I think I practiced Ariels pose on the rock with the water coming up behind her like a thousand times at the pool. Thanks for making fun videos. Made my day!
I really appreciate the thought and intellect that go into your videos. Not a bunch of babble but very fun! Thanks for another great post.
I have to say I just started watching these Down to Disness videos and I think they are awesome! I love Disney history and you are sharing so many facts that I had no idea about. Keep it up, they are great!
The Aladdin soundtrack is definitely one of my favourites, the music is incredible! I'd love to see you talk about The Little Mermaid, or Beauty and the Beast next!
Definitely Pocahontas is my favorite movie from that era. And my favorite Disney princess, hope you will talk about her next time!
Hunchback is definitely my favorite Disney Renaissance film (because I was a weird child). But seriously, THAT SCORE THO. Pretty much every score Alan Menken touches is gold, but this one is definitely a cut above the rest, and Stephen Schwartz's lyrics are fantastic (such good internal rhyme, OH MY GOD.) I completely understand why it's an underrated movie, but at the same time, I think it deserves so much more credit than it gets. (Also, the stage versions of Hunchback are just INCREDIBLE.)
I was in love with Aladdin when i was a little girl like for real that magic carpet could melt anyones heart👌😍. Talk about the hunchback of notre dame next it's so underated!
There are soooo many Disney Renaissance movies that I love and would like to see you do a Down to Disness on. I think I'd like to see Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast, or Hercules.
YAY! Aladdin was one of my favorites growing up
it’s the same age as me
Tarzan is my fave!!! I love the sountrack(Phil Collins rocks my socks). You should get down to Disness with Mulan! I feel like that is a movie I do not know much about it and would like to learn! Thanks Sarah! You're the niftiest Disneytouber ever!
Kaelin
Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Rennisance movie. Aladdin was also turned into a Broadway musical that premiered in 2014 staring the voice of Jafar (Jonathan Freeman), as Jafar.
These down to disness vids are SO GOOD
Mulan, Hercules, and The Lion King are probably my favorite Renaissance movies! Also just recently saw the Aladdin show at DCA and it was so incredible!!
I think it would be really interesting if you did one of the Fantasia films for your next down to disness. I love these videos so much! Thanks Sarah!
Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie or all time. I fell in love with the Broadway version of Aladdin. It is amazing!!!
Yes, Aladdin!
The Nightmare Before Christmas! I love Down to Disness so much, you are one of my favorite youtubers! I love you Sarah
I got to see Aladdin in NYC and it was so amazing. The voice actor of Jafar played him in the play!
The Hunchback of Notredam and Hercules were definitely my favorite films from the Disney Renaissance. And I think you should talk about some of the films that are a bit less popular like Fox and the Hound, Bambi or Dumbo! Any would be great. Looking forward for your next Down to Disness video :D
Thanks for doing Aladdin! It's one of my favorite shows, and it's so much fun to perform on stage! (My local theatre did it like 2 years ago). My favorite renaissance disney movie is definitely Hercules! I think you should do Hercules or Mulan for the next one :)
Yaaay! I love down to Disness! Although, my husband pointed out that The Great Mouse Detective and Beauty and the Beast both used CGI prior to Aladdin. I'd love to see a DTD on Mulan!
Ahhhhhhhhh YAY!! MY FAVORITE DISNEY MOVIE IS ALADDIN!! A whole new world is amazing!! Oh and another fun thing about Frank Welker he also voiced Fred Jones in the scooby doo movies and later on started voicing Scooby Doo and Fred ... ILY SARAH !! AND YOU R AWESOME
Please do Beauty and the Beast! I recently watched it again and I need to fuel my rediscovered obsession!!!!
Have you heard much about the new Broadway Aladdin show? IT IS AMAZING!!! While they didn't make the genie blue, they kept everything else you know and love about Aladdin. The dancing is amazing, and so is the acting. They added in new songs including Proud of Your Boy, and even won a couple of Tony awards. I highly recommend it and can't wait to see it again!!!
So sad the stage show is no more.. I live in VA and never got to see it in person. I also still remember the original lyrics to the opening song before they had to take out the part about cutting off an ear. Love your videos! I stumbled upon them on my Disney hangover (aka my drive back to Virginia from Disney World this past Christmas) hope to make it out to Disneyland at some point!
The Lion King is my favorite movie of all time!! I would love to see that in your next Down to Disness :)
I love Aladdin, it's one of my favourite Disney movies. The Song "One Jump Ahead" is in my top five favourite Disney songs (I think...) and the rest of the music isn't far behind. Love this series, I always learn something new about some of my favourite movies!
Yay!! I love Down to Disness!! Keep up the great work Sarah! Love you!
If you get to see the Broadway production (and you should work on that because it's phenomenal) you'll get to see/hear Proud of Your Boy and see Abu sort of replaced by Aladdin's trio of singing friends!
My favorite Disney Renaissance film is Hunchback of Notre Dame... which is also the one I think you should do next! It's such a great one!
hunchback of notre dame! I love how dark it is for a disney movie. not only that, the music is absoutely amazing! (god help the outcasts, hellfire, etc.) as well as the colors, the history, the issue with religion and corruption, outcasts, etc. . i love it all! it would be cool if you could do a video on it :)
Absolutely love your Down to Disness series! I would love to see The Little Mermaid next :D
Great episode Sarah!
I'm not sure if you know this, but the Disney Fantasy Cruise ship from the Disney Cruise Line puts on the Aladdin stage show & it's the same one from Disneyland, but Aladdin & Jasmine don't fly above you. I've seen both & loved it just the same. ❤
Maybe do The Great Mouse Detective next? It's not a big one, but the Big Ben CGI scene I think was one of the first of it's kind, and Vincent Price voices the villain. It's my favorite Disney movie.
*ONLY PRINCE TO HAVE HIS OWN MOVIE*
i literally wait ever single week for the down to disness videos lol
I have been looking forward to this video, love the series and your channel Sarah!
I love learning more about Disney! You know so much, thank you for sharing.
I love the down to disness series, it's always so interesting to find out more about the movies! Please could you do Beauty and the Beast at some point? It is not only my favourite disney movie it is my favourite movie of all time!!
These are such fun and interesting videos I get excited every time they pop up in my subscription box!! I vote you do beauty and the beast next! :)
The black Cauldron!!
you should do The Hunchback Of Notre Dame, that movie has such a beautiful soundtrack and the animation is top notch. Plus it's one of Disney's darkest films and has an even darker original story.
I once wrote an essay arguing that without Howard Ashman, the Disney Renaissance would never have happened. Pretty much, he single-handedly proposed and then created the formula of the Disney-film-as-musical, revolutionizing the way that Disney stories were told. What a guy. So, so incredibly talented.
Agreed!
You talked about a lot of details of the movie that I had no idea! Thanks for sharing!
Now, about the genie, what a wonderfull performance of Robin Williams... I mean, genie is great because he made him that way (since a lot of the script was improv). So, yeah, Robin Williams was so much talented... :')
Awesome episode! Aladdin is my all time favorite!! I learned a lot from your video, thanks!
I swear Down to Disness is like a Drug to me!! I love it so much!!!!
I love you Sarah!!!
2:45 Frank Welker also voiced Ray & Slimer (& possibly some minor characters) in the Ghostbusters cartoon series which I grew up watching.
The Little Mermaid is my favorite film from the Renaissance and possibly my favorite Disney movie period. It was such a catalyst and a marvel to look at and listen to.
Is it just me or is anybody else watching this again before they watch the Diamond Edition? No? Love Sarah and her videos. :)
I love your "Down to Disness" videos! By the way Sarah, I'm sure you know this, but as you mentioned the hidden Mickey of the movie, you could have said something about the appearance of Beast as one of little toys that Jasmine's father plays with! ;)
These videos always make my whole entire day. 💕
I think Aladdin is my favorite of the Disney renaissance. It's absolutely fantastic!! Could you PUH-LEEEAAASE do a Robin Hood video? It's my favorite Disney animated film, and I don't think it gets enough love.
Beauty and the Beast to both! First time watching that movie gave me chills and goosebumps, such a beautifully made Disney film and my all time favorite next to The Little Mermaid
Gah! I love both of those! ❤️
U should do Beauty and the Beast. My personal favorite princess is Belle. Mostly because I can relate to Belle because BOOOOOOOOOOOOKS.
Mulan!! Also, any of the pixar movies would be cool, too!
I agree it would be super cool to see some Pixar DTDs!
Firstly, I LOVE DTD! I love the history and behind the scenes stuff =]. Even though its not my favorite, I think you should do the Little Mermaid because it was important in a cultural since. Ariel was the first princess in 30 years (after Arora) and reflected a more modern view of American women, which I think is important. Or the Jungle Book because it was the last movie Walt worked on. Those are my humble suggestions =]. Thank you Sarah for sharing your passion with all of us! Much love yo!
I trust, I trust... gosh :) Love these facts. I love the Aladdin show at DCA, the Genie always has contemporary jokes. You're amazing Sarah.
I love these videos so much!!! I wish they were uploaded more than once a month haha :) and definitely Beauty and the beast!!
Great video, I've really been enjoying this series. But if I could be that guy for a moment, I believe the Black Cauldron was actually the first Disney film to use cgi. The Great Mouse Detective also used it for the clock tower sequence.
Great video! I'm going to suggest Atlantis. One of my favorite Disney movies.
I LOVE these vids Sarah! Looke forward to them every month! I know its not your favorite, but please do Little Mermaid! Its my favorite movie of all time!!
Lilo and Stich is my all time favorite Disney movie!
Aladdin favorite movie simply because of the music thanks for sharing these facts
Yay I love these so much!! I was so happy to see this video in my feed!! :)
And there's an Aladdin Broadway show! It is amazing! Proud of Your Boy is in the Broadway show as well as Aladdin's 3 best friends. Courtney Reed and Adam Jacob are Jasmine and Aladdin and they are perfect for their roles. I definitely recommend seeing the show on Broadway!
THE LITTLE MERMAID!
(Great video by the way!)
I really, really loved both Mulan and the Hunchback of Notre Damefrom the Disney Renaissance, even if as a kid I got creeped out a bit by Notre Dame.
I'd love to see a Down to Disness for either of those.
I just found this and good thing, too. My fav Disney movie is Aladdin!
I loved this! Let us not forget Lea Salonga singing voice of Jasmine and Mulan and a HUGE Broadway star!!!
Do Aristocats! It's a forgotten classic in my opinion.
I love the Lion King!
Would love to see a Toy Story DtD or 101 Dalmations in case its time for an oldie.
i love love love pocahontas!!
Can you do the little mermaid, lilo and stitch, or beauty and the beast??
I second LILO and Stitch! Such a great movie!
Skyler Frank YES!!!! They both need to be done!!!
l newlin I third that! Ok, now I feel weird. But yeah it's awesome!
Oh Howard Ashman. Such an amazing lyricist :)
my school is currently doing a play called Aladdin & His Sister. & we have the genie of the ring & lamp.
You should definitely do The Lion King!! My favorite Disney renaissance and overall Disney movie!
Please do Dumbo!!!!! It's a classic and one of my favorites. In my opinion it doesn't get enough love.
Loved this video! Another fun fact, Jasmine's singing voice is Lea Salonga who is also Mulan's singing voice!
Beauty and the beast! Hands down my favorite movie of all time. I would love to see a down to disness on that, or perhaps Fantasia!
Yes beauty and the beast is my favorite too!
I look forward to Down to Disness. Hoping you do Beauty and the Beast or The Little Mermaid next. Love your channel.
I can tell how hard u work to make these well done and Aristocats 😊
Hunchback of Notre Dame to both. I loved the movie growing up and it has amazing story and music and I'm sure you can dig up a lot.
Looking at this in 2016 this is a memory of The Aladdin Musical Spectacular
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Do a down to disness for Tangled
