At the beginning of my prctice as an endocrinologist, I had dreams that transsphenoidal surgery would be performed on our patients. Based on our previous observations of patients with acromegaly (and other pituitary tumors), we considered them to be incurable diseases, as their recurrence after surgery was a rule. Post Dr. Give Sharifi era and younger colleagues following him, very good surgeries were performed for pituitary tumors and some of the wishes of Iranian endocrinologists were fulfilled. Exceptional works and artistic surgeries come to the fore in special cases in this field. We wish health to Great Dr. Sharifi and his colleagues.
