I love you! And I love how your channel flows with the seasons…when the bees are working with you, we learn together from them…when the mushrooms are offering themselves for harvest, we harvest with you… Thank you for sharing so much inspiration through your experiences. I wish you well! With love, Ernie ♥️
I found you thru Jess (Roots and Refuge) and Jill (Whispering Willow ) I bought your beginners guide to medicinal herbs and will look into the first aid e book next. Planning a cut flower and herb garden for next year. You can count on me to buy your new book as well I know it is going to BEE wonderful!!!. One request...could you include the hardiness zones on the herbs That would be very helpful.!! BEE well:)
Great video we grew shiitake mushrooms on the state forest, it was for demonstration try to get tree farmers a chance to make extra money but I must say that it wasn’t a big hit missed you when you were taking a break but everyone needs some good relaxation Thank you for sharing your thoughts
I would have lost my marbles if i had ticks crawling all over me. End of video 😅 you handled that much more gracefully. I love mushrooms. I can't wait to learn to grow them too
Three of my favorites! Been missing your videos. Hope all is going well with your book and classes. Thanks for sharing. Harvest some Old Man's Beard for those tick bites, It's what they use to make the doxycycline for treating limes disease. ✌️💜🐝🌼🍯
There are many things that are called old man's beard. Could you please be more specific? Is it a tree, lichen, cactus, flower?? Could you give the latin name ? That would be very helpful! Thank you! 🫶 👍🙏
I would love to grow my own mushrooms. This year I am drying Yarrow. I have a bunch of wild ones plus I have grown some. I hate when I get ticks on me. My cousin came down with Lymes disease and it forced him to early retirement. He kept going to the doctors but they refuse to test him for lymes. He could barely lift his arms up or walk. He has gone through 3 series of treatments. He is better but still struggles some. I remember my sister getting Rocky Mountain Fever as a teenager, which ended her in the hospital.
Lovey video, my goal is to grow as many mushrooms that will benefit myself and my family. I have log plugged blue oyster mushrooms this spring. I want to do lions main, and I found some turkey tail growing everywhere in our woods, Pluse a yellowish Orange colored mushroom not sure what it is. Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless.
One thing to watch out for with mushrooms as a major food source is the issue of gout - mushrooms are a medium risk for purine, but it affects some people more than others - I certainly can't take anything other that trivial amounts, so for instance a switch to Qorn as a meat alternative is out for me
This was awesome friend 😊! Looking forward to Hen of the woods broadcast very soon please and thank you 😊! Thank you so much for sharing!!😊 It's nice to know and see you're making a wonderful progress in your ❤dreamwork , homework at y'all honeystead farmland!!😊😊
Hi left you message on your last video. Now I have more questions. Do you eat mushrooms raw…or do you dehydrate…:and what are the best to take such as what you took and in what form. Thanks
I cook them, dehydrate, tincture, decoct them... just depends on the type. My blend will be a powdered extract of fruiting body, but more info will be shared soon!
❤ your channel. Thank you for sharing your herbalist knowledge. Can't wait till your book is ready to buy. I hope you will let us know early. Can we buy directly from you or do we need to buy fron a bookstore? Also God bless you for the free e-book and all you do. ❤2all
To get the yarrow to be more of like a poultice, I use my saliva.. 👍 Great video! Thanks for sharing your adventure with harvesting mushrooms! Sorry about the tick infestation! I think you should do a video on tick bites! 😉 Love, light, strength and healing to you and your family! 💛 ✨️💪😇🙏🌈✡️🌟🌞✨️🫶💯
I feel yah in the rain. My plants are not doing so well as I’m not home every day to water them in these scorching hot days, sadly. So are you leaving the smaller to grow bigger?

There are things out there for Lymes Disease. Look into natural remedies... Best wishes- 🫶🤗🙏
@happy_times01 The real challenge is to get him to understand that. He thinks I am crazy growing herbs and wanting to forage.
Wish I could send you some rain from Southeastern Kentucky.❤
Please and thank you lol

The orange, yellowish mushroom might be chicken of the woods! Look it up! How exciting for you! 🫶🙌🤗

Raining today! Should get plenty of rain today
So much rain here!!!
We are enjoying rain here in South Asia for last couple of weeks.
Love this channel! See ya next time!
I got an herb for that! 😂 I second that.
I feel yah in the rain. My plants are not doing so well as I’m not home every day to water them in these scorching hot days, sadly.
Can you literally take a bite of it right off the log or do you need to process it somehow?

What kind of wood do you inoculate with shitake?
What method do you feel is best when taking red reishi?
Awesome video thanks for sharing ❤ very informative thank you
My observation is that mushrooms fruit when they actively grow then reach a dry edge.
So the spores can spread, yes.
To get the yarrow to be more of like a poultice, I use my saliva.. 👍

I am hoping my fall garden will be better! I will be harvesting everyday as they grow fast!
What are the herbs for tick born illnesses
I'll plan that topic:)
Do you have a remedy for brown recluse spider bites??
Would love to know about which herbs help with tick borne diseases. I and a friend of mine have Alph Gal!
@TheHoneystead My 10 year old grandson has a fatty liver with this mushroom should they be cooked or raw to keep their best helping for the liver?
I cook mine or make jerky!
@@TheHoneystead thank you I will tell my daughter-in-law. I know they have him on meds. but I don't know what it is.
Please be super careful with the tick situation, you can get very sick from them.
We have a tick-borne illness. Bone broth with collagen could kill us. I hate ticks.
Mrs. Kaylee have ya ever made or tried to make Mushroom ketchup Mam ?
I actually have that recipe saved to try!!!!
@@TheHoneystead I've been meaning to try making it myself also Mam.
