What Does a Little Brown Bat Look Like? | Close-Up View

Ryan usually deals with Big Brown Bats- they are the ones that tend to live in structures in Northeast Ohio.
But, the Little Brown Bat was once very populous. Hopefully, the worst of White Nose Syndrome is over and their numbers start to rebound. He hasn't seen one for a while so he thought he'd share it with you.
Good video for noting size and furred muzzle- two traits which distinguish them from the big brown bat.

Would you know if one of these got on you, bit or scratched you? I saw one in my lawn the other day and was about 6 or 7 feet from me. Got spooked thinking it could have been on me. Not sure if it had rabies since it was durint the day tho
