Another recommendation - if you’re not rouge, try not to purchase products/brands that are available at Ulta, which now includes ND, some Dior, some Hourglass, etc. Ulta sends 20% off anything coupons at least a few times a year, plus $10 off $40-50 or $15 off $75 including prestige brands every couple months (which is often a better deal if you only want 1 or 2 things).
I wish ulta had literally all the brands that Sephora had . If it did I would never shop at Sephora 😂
I'm psyching myself up to go to Sephora tomorrow because ULTA stopped carrying the eye makeup remover I use.
Besides brands do better sales on their site and sites like cult beauty and look fantastic do more than 25 percent sale often. I hardly shop at Sephora anymore.
I’m so glad I ignored all of the influencers shitting on the ND Love face palette and bought it - I used it today and I love it. I almost bought the light face palette but many recent reviews mention that the blush dried out, so the Love palette released at a perfect time and I like the color story more. Note that my skin is maybe 1 or 2 shades deeper than Morgan’s but with a cooler undertone - I'm Asian.
I totally agree I LOVE mine!! I am actually I am about two shades lighter than Morgan with cooler undertones. The blush is one of my favorites. But I really do understand why it isn’t for everyone. If it’s not something you think will look good on your skin tone then it isn’t really worth the price.
Me too! They sadly had me convinced for a while but I said screw it I want it and I'm sooo glad I did lol. It was immediately one of my favorites. Even the blush! The blush looks great on my light neutral complexion. I have medium to dark brown hair and green eyes for anyone wondering.
Same. I'm a similar skin tone with neutral undertones. I love the blush, but I can see it not suiting everyone. I didn't experience patchiness or my makeup lifting though.
The eyeshadows are great. The shimmer is a fave. I do wish there were 2.
I can also see people not liking the color story, but I love pinks and purples
I honestly don’t mind only one glitter, because I feel like it’s universal in the palette. Like I will do esme, Juliette, and aiko then add affinity as a glitter topper. Or I do giddy and aiko and add affinity on top. I feel like it enhances all the Matt’s.
That shimmer in the Natasha Denona palette is absolutely stunning!!!!!!

As a Canadian, Sephora is typically my best bet. Really rare exceptions. Totally agree that one is PM. I picked up 3 motherships with a free quad around Black Friday for 40% off with an additional 10% that was stackable! Sephora could never.

I have 68 year old lips that LOVE the makeup by Mario lip tints as well as the too faced liners. I get the tiniest amount of a tingling sensation which I don’t mind at all. The color selection is great! Picked up an additional one on Sephora sale.
These are super useful videos. nothing more irritating than buying something expensive that turns out to be crap, I hate the feeling of lost money on a product I will never use. I agree I never find that lot of the super lux brands other than Pat never go on sale, like Gucci, Valentino, Guerlin, Chanel etc. also perfumes are expensive so I find them good to buy in sales

Giorgio Armani had a good F&F 25 - 30% off right after the last Sephora sale. There was a minimum purchase but it's a brand that has so many great products from primer to eye tints to lipstick and of course the whole Luminous Silk line, foundation, concealer etc. Their new blushes are so beautiful imo. Everything came nicely packaged and you can choose your free samples.
Bobbi Brown also does 25-30% sales frequently and usually has a decent GWP when they do as well.
Angie Hot and Flashy has good tips on how to wear The Peter Thomas Roth primer under makeup. I did it today and it worked. We older ladies really want the tightening if provides. 😊
Thank you for the heads up on the PTR primer. I was looking at this yesterday and was considering buying it. Obviously, being in the UK equals no Sephora sale, but that doesn't matter - knowing what NOT to buy is maga important.

I bought Valentino set with lipstick and perfume for $80. The lipstick is $45 and the perfume $85. It’s a good deal. Anyone a fan of the Tower 28 tinted moisturizer ? It’s pretty for dry af skin.
I have the first version of that Natasha Denona palette, the blush is the worst blush I have in my whole collection! It’s such a weird dry mousse texture that never picked up on any brush or sponge, and it would hard pan (on a cream blush?!) all the time. So disappointed, especially because I have their older cheek palettes, and those cream blushes are so much better
That PTR primer needs a lot special treatment needs time to set with no facial movement but like you said it’s too much effort when it’s not for your skin type! I’m still interested in it for the pores on my cheeks, chin and nose in a very thin layer I’d say the tube will last a lifetime as need so lil 😂

I’m not gonna lie….She’s done some shady sh**, we all know this. But damn, she makes nice eyeshadow.🤷♀️😁
I don't find this shady. If the prices were increased I could see it, maybe. But the stickers or repackaging aren't free, so they were actually worth more than they charged (although using cardboard more than once shouldn't even be an issue as they use the same black lacquer repeatedly, and most brands reuse the same packaging for different products). Sticker or not, the Star Wars art was extensive, and people had to be paid for it. There was also new outer packaging. The people most angry at the sticker already owned Midnight Sun and were only buying the SW version as a PML collector's item anyway. SW collectors and regular consumers really didn’t care.
The Midnight Sun palette didn’t do well, so there had to be plans to sell it off. It's unfortunate that this became controversial, and I doubt a whole new component would have been acceptable to the people who made it a big deal. It was basically a huge sense of entitlement from die hard PML fans who expected the brand to not be an actual company but a only service for fans. The same people cried when PML products showed up at TJMaxx because it meant that it was no longer exclusive. But PML has bills to pay.

Chanel never has sales! Getting 20% or anything off is better than nothing if you want one of their fragrances. I brought Chance Eau Fraiche a good summer fragrance for me.

Devil's advocate here... I love the Golden One PML palette! I bought a back up when it was on sale. Jose hitting the tattoo gun sfx LOL!!!
I bought it on sale and it got to me in time to take it to my work conference in Phoenix. We were getting professional head shots and that Golden One was my lifesaver!!!

I’m obsessed with the Divine Bronze PMG Holiday pallet so I ordered the Sith Star Wars pallet because it seemed like it suited my taste best. Now I may be regretting but at least the packaging is super cute. Ty for honest reviews just wish I saw this before I ordered.

Totally agree. I'm a long time subscriber of a lot of brands' emails and can confirm that a ton of them do a 25% off or 30% off sale once or twice a year, or even more frequently. I see those emails pop up every couple of months from Too Faced, Biossance, Pat McGrath, Fenty, Milk, Fresh, Bobbi Brown, etc. Clinique and Lancome do a 30% off almost every quarter it's like clockwork. I only go for three types of stuff during Sephora sales: 1) Brands that don't offer much discount elsewhere year round like Olaplex, Dior, Tom Ford, Rare Beauty, etc; 2) Brands that offer comparable sales (the same 20% off) on their own website other times but buying at Sephora gives me easier return if I don't like it.

Too late got the pat McGrath Star Wars mothership palette. It was on sale anyway so I bought it but didn’t use the 20% off I’m saving it for tomorrow when I buy the Dior concealer tomorrow. Don’t have any Dior products but want to try this brand

Regarding the Kosas product-apparently the darker versions have less sparkle/glitter-Tina (The Fancy Face) has a darker version and she says it has less sparkle and she really likes it. Interesting, huh?

I love the Saie powder & the ND Love palette! To me, they are worth it especially with Sephora sale! I use the blush the same way I would with the Dior-I pair it with another blush.

I got the too faced liners, and they don’t hurt me like they do so many I have watched. I bought two and used them different days. At first I thought maybe I got duds but that just can’t be possible. I don’t think they hurt that bad at all. Maybe my lips are messed up or something I don’t know lol.

I got the Kosas sunscreen and I don’t like it. I can feel it and it’s too glowy. I got the new Sol de J shimmery body cream. I HATE the scent. Like I can’t use it and love their scents usually. It has a powdery smell I don’t like.

I was foolish and bought the dior backstage rosey blush even though I’m dark skinned. I heard it reacts to ph but can I really get it to show up on my skin? I don’t mind a natural blush.
