  • Sjoberg Elite Workbench Unboxing and Set Up!
    I have decided to change my hold workbench, Which was an old cart with a work top on it. It wasn’t good for woodworking, it rocked around, and it have no good vices. So I decide to get the Sjoberg Elite 1500 workbench. I do not have a huge workshop, so I wasn’t able to get the bigger 2000 or 2500 workbench. But the 1500 is still a good size. And I will be able to do so much more on this workbench compared to my last one! I hope you enjoy this video!

    Should have Craigslisted that wagon. Turn it on its side and it should fit thru the door.
    If it's too rotted for a restore, someone would built a new one based on it, using the same hardware (think "replace all of the wooden parts").

    • @SeanEvelegh
      @SeanEvelegh  5 років тому

      Hi there, we don't have Craigslist in the UK. how do you know I haven't tried putting on it Ebay (no one would buy it). It wouldn't fit through the door, and it is actually worthless.

    Nice video - just the right amount of commentary and instruction. I've just bought the same size Axminster DIY 1500 Workbench (couldn't quite run to the cost of a Sjoberg although I know they are superior) and waiting to unbox and build it. I'll do a video and hope it comes out as well as yours. Only one question really - I can't see that you used glue anywhere. Was there a reason for that?
    Have to say I shed a tear at the demise of the wagon, but you've covered that in other questions. Keep up the good work. A pleasure to follow you.

      HI Bob, glue isn't need for the workbench construction. it is sturdy enough. As well if i never move and i disassemble it. looking forward to seeing you in the next video

    The building was constructed around the antique wagon ? I think not. It rolled in, why could it not roll out ?

      Hi Tony, the wagon was broken and had been rotting away forever. it was worthless and no one would buy it. We had to chuck it away. I agree I did love it, and it looks very nice... so i didn't want to do it. But I had to.

    How long has that wagon been in that building? I got the Elite 2000, it is fantastic. Just recently I cut off one end of each of my vise handles and reinstalled with a screw so I could remove the handles, mine were originally glued. Nice to see they have them screwed on now.

    A little bit late to the party, but just curious, the workbench top is only connected to the legs by sitting on top of the four dowels? No bolts or glue?
    Thanks for making the video!

    Nice video! This can be disassembled, right? Or are you supposed to assemble it with glue like with their small hobby vises? I’m actually thinking about putting a bench like this in the living room but it would need to be disassembled if I ever get an actual workshop and have to move it.

    • @SeanEvelegh
      @SeanEvelegh  4 роки тому +1

      Yes you can be disassembled, I didn’t add glue, and it’s still very rigid and strong

    In another reviewer's video of this model, I noticed some racking in the entire bench when the end vice was tightened. Does yours have this racking, or maybe the other reviewer didn't tighten all of the bolts?

    Hi
    I do not understand the reason why diferentes not build your own workbench, It would hace been cheaper, just the right size that you need and you would have the pride of having done it yourself.
    Anyway, It seems yo be an excellent workbench.
    Greetings from Buenos Aires.

      @SeanEvelegh  5 років тому +1

      Hi Adrian, depending on what wood you use for the workbench, and if you get good quality hardware. then the price isn't actually that different. most importantly these workbench are for the people who do not have to time to make their own. or the right tools to make it to exactly how they want. that's why i got this one.thanks for watching... and I'll see you in the next video

    Not being funny. If the video is "unboxing and set up of a Sjobergs," why then at the 5 -minute mark of a 9-minute video is the closed box of the Sjoberg on the floor? Either title your videos correctly or continue to upset your viewers. BTW, too much talking off-topic; too much talking either way. The music is obnoxious. Yes you're young and good-looking, but I didn't come here to watch you speak. I came here to see, "Sjobergs Elite 1500 Workbench (Unboxing and Set Up) You let me down.
